Andy S. came out today for a re-service. We back to a golf course so the rodent population is higher than normal. We didn't have a problem until putting in a pool and apparently disturbing the mice and rat burrows in the ground. Andy came and put out several bait boxes. He took the time to listen to my concerns and then took time to explain how the bait works and what it will do. He was friendly, professional, and efficient. I'm not easily impressed but I was today - thanks Andy!

Andy S. always makes me feel like he cares about us. When things get moved for him to spray (inside or outside), he puts it all back the way he found it, whether I move it or he does. Very courteous and friendly and very professional. Happy he is our service technician.

Can I give less than 1 star? Oh I wish I could. I had wonderful experience with them when I signed them up. Qtrly service and "satisfaction guarantee" were the top sells. Very first time they came in all spiders were gone, no snails, hornets etc etc. Second time was good. Third time not so good, I have to call them again but snails & hornets were still the problem. Of course they are not as much spider but they didn't clean webs either. After 4th service, I had it enough and I just decided to cancel and after making payment on their website, I used their "contact us" and e-mail them to cancel. To my surprise, they came anyhow on 8/29/14 and did the service while I was not home and left bill for $ 99. I called them and told them that I requested cancellation via e-mail and wanted me to give proof. How could I? when I use their website to do e-mail. I can't possibly show them e-mail proof unless I compose e-mail out of mine. She said, She is sorry but I have to pay. Customer rep was very rude when I said, I don't think I owe anything since I requested cancellation 2 months ago. She said, I have to pay or she will send me to collections. AT that point, I mentioned that its not that I want 1 free service, If I did, I could have called Alterra anytime with 3 months of guarantee time. She didn't wanna listen and mentioned that I have to pay. I asked her to cancel my service, She said I have to e-mail her and can't do over the phone. She wanted me to reply to e-mail that they sent to for service notification. I kinda gave up on customer service and replied to e-mail. To my surprise, e-mail came back as undeliverable (BTW, I can produce proof of that). I don't know what else to do now. I am just sick of them. I don't know what is next. Court? Small Claims?. I know one thing for sure that I am never going to let any door-to-door salesman one minute of my time again, let alone sign contract.

Extra Spray

Since we have seen a lot more spiders lately (we have a preserve behind our property) I called alterra back for an additional spray. Andy S. came out and swept our property and sprayed areas where spiders could hide. Very impressed with quick and thorough service.

This is my first service with Alterra. Matt Hoffmann came in a little earlier than scheduled. He went over the contract terms with me very patiently, making sure to explain everything he was going to do during the service and what to expect after the service completion. We had problems with ants, moth and fleas in the back yard. Matt was very patient with me and our outdoor dog. He was very professional and thorough. He removed the wasp nest as well. Outstanding service! I signed for the annual contract.

We have used Alterra for over a year and a half now. We have had issues with Ants and other things in between our regular service but Alterra is out within a day or two (depending on our work schedules). My only problem with Alterrra is the fact that in the last year and a half I have asked numerous times for them to schedule our regular maintenace on Mondays since we have big, unfriendly outside dogs. Again this month they scheduled it for a Tuesday. Also note that it is on the work order that customer wants Mondays and Request Charles W. I recieved an email for our prescheduled date Monday night when I got home that they would be out the following (Tuesday) morning. I called and left a message for them to reschedule this visit since we would both be working and we have requested Mondays only. No one returned my call. (This is not the first time) So yesterday at 1100 am Joshua Ayson showed up to do our service. Luckily for him, I had been called off from work and was home. I allowed him to do the service and he did a great job. He took care in cleaning all the cobwebs and listened to what I wanted focus on. Even though it was not Charles, and it was not the right day, which we have requested, Joshua Ayson was very understanding and patient while I put the dogs up and he did a Great job!! Overall Alterra is good, just wish they would get it together in the scheduling department.
