What can I say? Barney came highly recommended to me by a friend. He was exactly as my friend said. Great pricing, on time, professional and a guy you can call a friend. I need to look no further. Thank you Barney!

Man... I just found myself a competent electrician and a friend for life! I called Barney right out of the Rockwall phone book. Barney came in on time, replaced my 5 plugs and GFI's in no time. He has great command and knowledge. Barney did the job in a short time and with no recalls. His service is above the competition and his rates are very reasonable.

I highly recommend Barney.

Excellent service and reasonably priced!

We thought we were having an issue with the dryer outlet so we called Barney. We called on a Saturday and he was able to come to our house on Monday. Turns out the issue was not electrical and Barney did not even charge us a trip charge. Very courteous and friendly. I will call him again if I have another electrical issue.

I lost power to a portion of my home over the weekend. It happened late Saturday afternoon. After checking all the normal things myself, I contacted Barney's Electric. After speaking with Barney, he felt the issue may be something the power company could handle which would save us some money. Even so, I called him back 4-5 times on Saturday into the evening. Each time, he took my phone call. I even sent him some photos of the breaker box so he could walk me through some more trouble shooting. Ultimately, the power company wasn't able to help. As promised, Barney was at my house first thing Sunday morning and had the problem fixed within a half hour. Barney's promptness, willingness to assist me over the phone, and overall customer service will have me calling him next time I need an electrician.

If you need a electrician Barney's Electric is who you should call. They were so prompt and took care of everything so quickly! I can't emphasize enough how friendly Barney and his coworker (I didn't catch his name, and I wish I did because he was also extremely nice) were to me! Customer service is the most important factor to me, and they went above and beyond any expectations previous electricians or plumbers (or pretty much anyone coming to fix things in my apartment) have given me. Thanks guys, I'll be calling anytime I need any electrical fixes!!

I've already told my friends about Barney and his amazing service. He put recessed can lights in my kitchen. Arrived on time, cleaned up after a BIG + and had the job completed the same day.

My experience with Barney's was great. I had been having a lot of problems with plugs not working and lights going out. I had an electrician come out before but did not feel confident he knew what he was doing. It was the total opposite feeling with Barney's Electric. He came out and knew exactly what the problems were. He was in and out within and hour or so. My lights were working, my plugs were working AND his price was reasonable. I will continue to use Barney's and will refer him to family and friends.

Barney is great. I had a light fixture that kept shorting out this summer. He took it down and suggested I get it rewired. I took it to place I heard about and it took 6 months to get it back. Barney came out to install and it was still shorting out so he wired it himself. Now it works fine. He wouldn't let me pay him until I got the light back so he waited 6 months to get paid. Not many subs would do that.





I wouldn't hesitate to use Barney again and will recommend him to all my friends!

WOW! Needed an electrician in a hurry...Barney showed up within an hour! I had them back to correct other electrical problems and install under counter lights. I would give them A+. They are fast, dependable, and honest.

Very nice man; good service. I would call again. The only downside was the price was a little higher than I thought it would be. When I called to set up an appointment I should have asked about the hourly rate up front. I would think a master contractor and an apprentice would be about $100/Hr, plus materials. Three people showed up and worked for about 25 minutes. The repairs were relatively minor, and I'm guessing the materials were between $15-$30. Total bill was $180, so labor was probably $150 for the 25 minutes.



I understand electricians suffer a ton of overhead and any call is rounded up to the nearest hour, but I think I rather would have had an electrician and apprentice for 40-50 minutes rather than three people for 25 minutes to help me with expense. My fault for not clarifying the hourly rate beforehand, not theirs. The invoice didn't break out labor and materials, but I'm guessing I paid for three guys all rounded up to an hour. They had three guys because they were on their way to a bigger job, which I understand, I'm just not sure it was what I needed for (I think) relatively simple fixes.



Still, I recommend calling for electrical work. The service was overall very good. They showed up early and cleaned up after themselves.



If you're not getting an estimate and just calling someone out for work, ask about the hourly labor rate and number of people coming out beforehand just so you have a general idea what the bill might run. Or better yet, get an estimate first. Even if you happen to find the price is a little higher than other electricians, go with Barney. He seemed like an extremely honest man to me and I would trust him for future repairs.

Barney is absolutely the greatest. Fast, courteous, good pricing etc. He put new lighting in our kitchen and we love it. Wish I had reviewed sooner.

Barney was recommended by my A/C company after both my A/C units went out in the 107 degree heat due to an electrical problem. He arrived in record time, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and had a reasonable charge. He is my new electrician for my Rockwall, Texas home.

Awesome Old Fashioned Customer Service

I had an AC electrical issue this week during the 100 plus degree weather. Barney came out took a look and diagnosed the problem right away. I had to call over the weekend to ask a question. I could not believe that he actually answered the phone and took my call on a Sunday afternoon!!! He then followed up with me on Monday without being prompted to ensure that everything was working properly and to ask if I had any other questions. I could not believe that this kind of customer service actually exists anymore!!!! I will definitely recommend this electrician to my friends and associates. He is the one to call when you need an electrician. I wholeheartedly endorse this business!!!!!

Barney did a great job. Asked a couple of questions and knew exactly where to go. No wasting time and very efficient. Was a pleasure to deal with. Is very personable as well. Makes the whole experience enjoyable. I will definitely be using Barney from now on. It is hard to find service companies today that you can trust and get along with. I recommend Barney.
