Movers were very fast and courteous. They ran into a storm at the end of my move and still kept working hard. They did rush a bit, but still got the job done. Very polite, very aware of fragile materials, and willing to do any special requests to set my mind at ease. I will need a moving crew in 6 months, and intend on using this company again. Reply

i called big guy moving same day i needed to move my furniture from one apartment to another. they were available. At first i was a little nervous because the hourly rate was lower than all the other places i called. I had fantastic service. The two men quickly and efficiently loaded and unloaded my belongings. It even started to rain during the move, and we weren't charged for the time the moving stopped due to the weather. Dave is the owner of the place and he really made sure that we were completely satisfied. The one thing I would critique is that i think there needs to be a main person answering the phones. Sometimes it was a bit difficult for me to get in contact with Dave when I had questions during the moving process. But overall, this is a great company, and i would definitely recommend this to anyone. the value is incredible. you won't find a cheaper place out there. Another thing to point out is that I was worried that movers will sometimes that their time so that we would have to pay more for the "extra" time. After getting a quote that the moving should take anywhere between 3-4 hours for the amount of furniture i described to him, he put it in writing through email that the max i would be charged would be 4 hours. It only took 2 hours. This is shows that Dave really wants to make sure that his customers feel comfortable during the moving process.

They delivered my piano from Orange Park to Fernadina Saturday afternoon. The movers showed up and wrapped the piano up and took great care of it during transport. You took the extra time to make sure everything was secure and for that I am greatful.

Incredible experience with Big guy moving. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. I was nervous hiring professional movers from all the horror stories you read about,but these guys had it together. Dave your a good man keep up the hard work your going to do great things.

I have been in the military for 17yrs and have experienced over 8 moves both full service and ones were I packed. Well your guys gave me faith that there is still moving companies out there that care. Thank you for being so patient with us in this time of insanity.

I wish I could say I had a good experience with Big Guy moving. I was quoted 5 hrs for $365.00 to move 3 bedrooms house and patio set, the only thing extra was a 2 person sauna which easily unsnap apart, a friend and myself set it up in my garage so I didn't think it would be difficult for couple of experience movers. Well it was, if they would have just listened to when I told them how to disassemble it instead of trying to disagree it could have been done in a jiffy. Later after they decided to listen they had to agree how easy it was to disassemble. Next they tried to take washer through the door leading to the garage forcing it when it was obvious it wouldn't go through. If I wasn't standing right there who know what could have happened. Again I told them they would have to removed the door, they said no need to it will go through. after a few more unsuccessful attempts I told them no it will not go through you will damage something! They would have broken the off the knob and the hose behind the washer! Again I told them again they need to remove the door, that sometimes this need to be done in order to take & remove furnitures in & out homes. They could not snap the pin from the door so they unscrewed the hinges!! If they had their hammer they could have snapped the pin loose, another thing they didn't have their simple essential tools. At the end of the move so far I notice the top of my washer had several dents they put dents in my refrigerator and now I wonder how many more damage they did and would have done if I wasn't there, and how many more I will find when I get ready to move again as I was not standing and watching them the whole time. I trusted them as I read up reviews on several companies before I decide to go with this one. I did got their card from a girl at Store It, but I still went on line and do research before I made up my mine on this company. David said "OH well at least nothing broke dents are easy to take out with a magnet". I also had to remind them to put back the door, if not they wouldn't, they were already leaving the house . The move took 8 1/2 hrs $600.00 and I tipped the guys good. All this I had no problem with, but when I went home and open & close the garage door it was scrapping the frame of the door and was hard to open & close. Obviously something was not right, if the hinges is not set exactly right in the grooves this will happen. I called David and he started arguing with me that there was no way that they could have installed the door wrong, there was only one way to put the door, there are 9 screws and 9 screws was replaced, how could this be done wrong??? He never came by to correct the door, I had to call my son over to come help me and both of us got it corrected, the last two hinges was raised out of the grove a little. I told David I know what I was talking and I was not stupid.

Another thing David asked for cash, what if I didn't have the cash and intended to pay with credit card? I gave him $400.00 in cash and $200.00 with a check.

I used to help my husband when he use to work building and repairing boats so I am not green when it comes to tools and stuff like this. Needless to say I will not use them again or refer anyone to them. Someone I just met at who is in the process of moving and I told them no, I am not recommended them.

You have to use Bigguymovers they rock. I have just a little one bedroom apartment and they moved me in less then 2hrs. Out of all the movers I called they had the best prices,which scared me about the service. Well that was put to rest the night before my move when Dave called me to confirm the appointment and reassured me his men would show up on time. Everything went so well you guys keep this up youll do great things. God bless too you guys.

This has been the easiest move I have ever experienced. Your 3in1 package really gave me time to make all the changes over to my new house without having to worry about packing and cleaning. To all the people that assisted with my move thank you so much from all my family.

I will recommend you guys to all my friends. Your movers were courteous,well mannered,and really took great care of our furniture. Good luck too you guys.

I live in Norfolk and had to deal with moving my mother in Jacksonville. Well this was going to be a pain till I came across your ad. Your staff made everything so easy. I know my mom was difficult and I really appreciate you guys doing the job with a smile she really liked you guys and shes very hard to please. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..

Dave I want to thank you guys for bailing me out. I hired a mover to show up at 8am. But then they called me through out the day backing up the time until its 5pm at night and my stuff had to be out that day. Well I called Dave to explain to him the situation after talking to 5 other companies that could only do it the next day and he said he would call around to get a crew together. So 45min later the moving truck shows up with Dave and 2 other men. I tell you these guys are hard workers, they came in and got to work right away and did not stop till all my furniture was set up in my new home. You guys really saved me thank you.

I would rate this company at the highest level. All persons I dealt with were polite, on time, and wanted to make sure everything was done as we wanted and efficient. I will definitely recommend and use their services again.
