Concealed Carry Courses

My best friend and I decided it was time to take a concealed carry course. We both grew up in gun owning homes and were familiar with handling firearms. We had researched several companies before deciding upon this one. When my friend told me that the course was taught by former Marines, I knew we would be learning from the best! Not to mention, they are also NRA certified. Keep that in mind when you are looking for a course. The NRA doesn't just hand out certifications to just anybody like some "online sites". After speaking with the owner, Sgt. Kim Rodecker, I knew we had made the right choice. He was friendly and informative and explained in detail what we had to do before we even took the course. He also offered a discount since we were taking the course together. He provided us with all the material we needed before, during and after the course. Now don't go in expecting Sgt. Carter. He won't call you a moron or make you do push-ups. LOL! The class is long but he offers plenty of breaks. I also like that fact that he demonstrates hands on (gotta love the “props”!). It's one thing to read something in a book and another to see how it is done in person. He also gave us a list of places that had the best prices for purchasing firearms, ammo and accessories. The range day was the day I looked forward to the most. It was very well organized and we were one on one with the instructors (U.S. Marines of course). I really liked the fact that I got the instructor all to myself. They were very patient with everyone they instructed. They weren't all "Booyah" if you know what I mean! They also stressed the importance of safety and did a superb job at keeping everyone safe. I would also like to mention that this is not a "boy's club". Everyone is treated equally. In fact, they actually boost your confidence level. Maybe it was because I got to shoot the "big gun"--now that's a confidence booster in itself! In closing, I would like to add that he doesn't just "pat you on the head and send you on your way" after you have finished his course. If you give him your email, he will keep you up to date on not only what is going on with upcoming courses but what is going on involving gun related issues and our government. I look forward to taking his advanced courses. I highly recommend this course. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome Class

I took a CCW class a few years back with another instructor when CCW's were still relatively new in Ohio. While that class was informative and enough to get by on, the class I just took with Concealed Carry Courses was much more engaging... and actually enjoyable. First of all the instructors were extremely knowledgeable, ex U.S. Marines, and N.R.A. Certified in most fields of fire arm training. If that isn't enough to help you understand that these guys know what they're talking about and also love what they do, you should also know that this team of instructors has extensive backgrounds in Anti-Terrorist Units, Military Police and Marksmanship Instruction.

Apart from there impressive credentials, the execution of the class is very student-friendly. They do an excellent job of explaining the importance of your right to bear arms, as well as the responsibility that comes with owning a firearm. Although the instructors are ex military and they took the information they are teaching us very seriously, I never felt as though they were being abrasive or barking orders at us, whether we were in the class room or at the firing range. Speaking of the firing range, one thing I really liked about the class was the 1 on 1 training we got at the firing range. Even though there were about 12-15 people in our class at the range, the instructors took the time took take each of us INDIVIDUALLY to the firing line and give us personal instruction. That is critical because some other groups offering this class won't do that. They'll have like two or three people shooting on the line at once (which is really unsafe when you're dealing with novice shooters).

Besides all that, you can't beat their price! Call around to get some quotes for classes and you'll find that there the best price around. (And if you take the class with a friend it's even cheaper!)

If you’re looking to get your CCW, I recommend going with these guys. They were pretty cool on a personal level, and they knew what they were doing when it was time to get down to business.

CCW

I wanted to let everyone know how good these guys are! I grew up in a gun owning home. I took a gun safety course, was a member of the NRA and went hunting when I was younger. On a side not a safety course I recommend to anyone.

However, I wanted to take a CCW course. I checked out a few int he area. From being put off because I was a woman, to finding that the personality of the instructor to the times the courses were offered just did not fit.

I found that Concealed Carry Courses was the best one for me. After speaking with the instructors, their confidence level boosted my confidence level. The options of the one on one classes, evenings, weekends, the one on one attention that was offered made me make the decission to go with Concealed Carry Courses.

When I took the class the instructors were wonderful. I loved the fact that they worked one on one with me. Kim and Ron, made sure that I knew all the material, where to find the resources for staying up to date on my rights, they went over the material thuroughly, made sure that I know what ammo to buy and when to use it. They made sure that we all knew that this is what we wanted to do and the fact that they stressed " always try to walk (or Run) away before resorting to the use of a weapon was the most important.

Mark worked with me on the range to make me confidient when firing my weapon. He made sure that I understood everything there was to know about my gun. He helped me with my shooting options, the correct posture, how to aim, where I wanted my shots to hit. He was the bomb! He spent the time with me to make sure that if I was ever in a situation that I truly had to use my weapon that I was able to handle it correctly.

They even went one step farther by offering to go with me when purchasing a gun and have said they will even go back to the range and shoot with me so I keep up on practicing. They Have truly taken the time and have made every effort possible to make sure that I did not get some "puppy mill trainning". They went out of there way to make sure that every question was answered and that everyone had the best trainning possible for the price we paid for attending the class.

Thank you Mark, Ron, and Kim for offering the CCW class.

Again you are all the bomb!

Sincerely,

Kim L, and Eric R.

Really Good People

I recently finished my ccw course with www.concealedcarrycourses.com. I can't recommend them enough. All of the instructors are strict and professional, yet fun. Required class time is long, but the instructors do a great job keeping it interesting and keeping the students involved. Range day is great. Simple as that. Instructors are one on one with the students. Whether you're an experienced shooter or have never touched a gun, the instructors adjust so everybody learns at their own pace. If you're at all interested in taking a ccw class, definitely go to www.concealedcarrycourses.com!
