I had a horrible expereince with OK Pain and Wellness. I was a new transfer paitent from another state, AR. I called to make an appointment which I was not able to get until a month later, since I do not have insurance at this time I was required to pay $200 before my appointment which I did the week before. I received a voice messagel the day before my appointment with Dr Patel telling me it was canceled since I did not pay. I called them back and said I did pay would they like me to bring in the receipt. They eventually found the documentation that I had paid and scheduled me with the Medical Asssitant instead of Dr Patel even though it was their mistake, saying Dr patel was no longer available. I had filled out the information on the patient portal several days before my appointment and at 8:00am when I arrived at the clinic I was given the same questions to fill out again. When I was finally was called back at 9:00am I was asked the SAME questions by the assistant entering them into the computer system. When I finally met with Amy the Medical Assistant I was AGAIN asked the SAME questions and told to receive my medication I would need to have an MRI which I had no problem with until they said it would cost $500 that day. I had already canceled my appointment the week prior with my AR clinic to transfer to this clinic and had already been without any medication for almost 2 weeks. If I had known the cost I would have been prepared or had kept my appointment with my AR clinic until I knew I was able to pay the $500 MRI Cost. I understand the reason for an MRI but was floored that they did not let me know ahead of time the cost and the fact I would not be able to recieve my medication until I had the MRI. They had allthe records from my previous clinic which did not include an MRI but did include the past 3 years of medical records from a reputable Doctor. I then asked for my $200 to be refunded and was told that is not possible. The appointment was 3 hours long, I lost $200 and never received my medication. I do not know how this clinic is still in business if that is how they treat paitents. I will never reccommend this place and am truly disgusted at how they do business.
