Using a combination of the latest sonic equipment for the use of finding leaks in lines, i.e. fire suppression lines, commercial & residential water lines, pool plumbing & other piping .  Having a variety of transmitters, we can locate residential sewer "laterals". A variety of equipment used for locating of "private" cables, conduit, & other transmission devices.  We have recently acquired a unique instrument that is using a combination of hydrogen/nitrogen induced to locate given leaks in piping or vessels or detect the loss of hydrogen alone from piping or vessels. Our locating services began in the late 1990's.

Servicing pools & spas we had a need to find a leak in return line of the spa. This leak had been there for 3 yrs. without anyone finding it. Called Steve & he came & did what one other tried using air & microphone with no luck. Then he used a combination of hydrogen/nitrogen, placed it in the line & found the leak. He did it twice to make sure & it was correct. Fitting was broke within 1 ft. of his mark.

Recently our construction firm had need to have multiple buried utilities located beyond Dig-Rites policy. After searching for such a company & even getting a referral from Dig-Rite, we spoke Adhair about our needs. With no drawings or "as-builts" they proceed to locate what we needed to move on with our excavation plans.

We are a DMV group that have a combination medical practice and boarding animals facility. Our plans are to expand our kennel facilities and with another small building for that area. This required the location of a water line & power line, that was here before we purchased this property, before we could start construction on this site. Last week, Mr. Malone came out & with little or no trouble found each.

We hired these guys to find a leak in our water line in the basement floor. He did everything he said and marked a spot where he heard the best noise and then we paid him his fee. The plumbers came and instead of the leak being where he marked it it was 4 ft. away. I think we deserve some kind of refund

The betterbeer guy is right,I missed it in reality by 2ft.That's the margin of error expressed. He did receive a copy of our contract which stated "it is not an exact science", "there are no guarantees implied or given" and the results are based on a "best effort". Many of plumbers that I work for understand this and would be happy to be within 4ft. If this guys needs this service again, maybe he should hire someone with X-ray vision.

I searched the web trying to find a service that dectects leaks in pool systems & found Adhair. I explained my problems as best I could about our vinyl lined pool & Steve came out. After using a special instrument, he dove the pool & dye checked areas that seem to have leaks around the stairs & such. He found 4 leaks & repaired all 4. We've checked our water levels since the repairs & we've lost nothing. Very professional and thorought!

My friend and I live in So. County and we had noticed a substantial water bill increase. We called the water company, they came out and they said that our leak was in our water line from the meter to our home. They gave us Adhair's phone number to confirm that the leak was there. We met Steve and he told us how he would attempt to locate the leak. The first thing he did was locate our water line and then proceeded to find the leak in this line. About an hour or so later, using more than one instrument, Steve explained that the leak was not in the yard but where the water line entered thru our basement wall. Should the need arise, we would recommend Adhair to anyone.

My husband & I live in home built in the 20's in U-City. Our water bill from one quarter to the next tripled. We called the water company & they gave us a referral,Adhair. They came out & first conducted a water survey of our toilets & found three were leaking. Next they located the water line & finally they pin pointed the leak in our basement floor. It was the original line made of galvanized pipe & had rusted thru where it entered the basement. Very professional & courteous.

Last week our church called Ad...

Last week our church called Adhair to help us with a leak in our radiant floor heating system. Steve Malone showed up & was very professional. He explained because of all the pipes in the floor to find the pipe leaking that he couldn't do it, but he said that he would get in the general area. He located the area & began listing & marked a spot he called "a best effort", but when we went to make the repairs, the leak area was off by 6 feet. We thought he would do better than that.

claimed iconBusiness Response12/04/2011

We're not sure how to respond, but this is a given; leak detection is not an exact science our contract even states it is "a best effort" with no guarantees.Locating a leak in a radiant heat system means only that you get within an area where the pipes are supposed to be & listen..they didn't know where the pipes were so we located & began searching. A sound was found that indicated a possible leak area. It was marked indicating an "area"...that's it.The leak was linear & not the size of a dinner plate...it was within 3FT of the locate,"best effort" enough said.
