I brought her here because it was the closest vet in the neighborhood. Thanks to the quick test results and the compassionate care we received at this clinic, I was able to make the decision to euthanize my cat the next morning -- a decision which I know was the right decision. (It's the only decision you can make when your pet is geriatric and her quality of life is nonexistent.)

I had the opportunity to photo shoot the clinic and was VERY impressed with what I saw. Actually, I was surprised and impressed just to know that there is a Bed-Stuy Veterinary Clinic. So when I stepped inside, it was nice to feel an an immediate sense of care and pride, and that continued from the reception area, to the exam room and all throughout the clinic.

My spouse and I had just stepped off the plane from Sacramento beginning our move to Brooklyn with dog and cat in tow. We rushed to Bedford Stuyvesant to board our furry kids - arriving about 5 minutes before they closed with our frightened pets and a dog kennel FULL of #2. (It was our pup's first flight and she was...well, a bit of a mess upon arrival and our driver was less than enthusiastic about this.) We were overwhelmed, worried about our pets and wondering what the crap we were going to do with this...dirty kennel and... where was our hotel anyway?! WHY DID WE MOVE AGAIN!? You get the picture. Joanna was incredible. Warm and friendly upon arrival and absolutely calming to us. She immediately helped our scared pup into her hotel room, tucked the cat in for the night and agreed to clean the kennel disaster that we regretfully (yet thankfully) dumped upon her in our departure. (Our driver thanks her, too.)

I took my cat to this vet and I was really happy with the whole experience. The staff was helpful. The vet was very gentle and thorough. My cat had a cut on his neck and the vet went over all the possible causes for him to have scratched himself or what might make him "itchy". She took the time to find out all about his diet and environment in case it was something like a detergent being used. I did have to wait a half hour past my scheduled time and it was a little more than I've paid at other vets (not in nyc though) but I'm happy to spend the extra time and money because they were really personal and helpful. I'm bringing my kitty back whenever he needs check-ups.
