Walker Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in the 1960's as a freestanding veterinary hospital. The practice was limited to small animals and has continued to treat them exclusively to this day.  On October 1, 1988 Dr. Boden and an associate took over ownership of the hospital. Since changing ownership, Walker Veterinary Hospital has added many improvements. An ultrasonic dental machine (the same used in human dentistry), a pulse-oximeter and a Vet Test blood testing machine, used for in-house blood testing and faster laboratory results. Dr. Boden is one of only a few doctors in San Joaquin County who has Ultrasound diagnostic equipment and experience.  In January 2008, digital radiography replaced the old hand developed x-ray equipment. We now get detailed x-rays that can be processed and viewed faster, can be sent to a specialist via the internet, and a copy of the x-ray(s) can be burned to a CD and given to the owner to have in their possession. To increase client knowledge and overall experience the hospital has added VCR units in each exam room, as well as the dog and cat reception lobbies, so informative or recreational videos can be played.

I have taken my animals to Walker Vet Hospital and Dr Boden for 20+ years. I have always had the best service. The staff along with Dr Boden are caring, knowledgable and very efficient. They take care of my animals as if they are part of the family. I also appreciate the fact that Anita is so knowledgable and accommodating. Excellent staff!!!

Dr. Boden is excellent! the staff is great also. Wendy one of the tech's cares a lot about the animals and is very gentle with them. Kira is an excellent receptionist and is always so friendly. Anita however is very stuck up and rude. I only go to this clinic because of the great doctor.
