I have a nine month old 2013 Fiat 500 with just over 6,000 miles. The check engine light came on. When I called for a service appointment I was sent to voice mail. I had a trip scheduled for two days later so I wanted to get the car in to be checked as soon as possible. It took most of the day to get a response and schedule an appointment and I had to complain to get any response at all.



The car was serviced on Wednesday. I decided to have an oil change done and tires rotated even though I was ahead of the maintenance schedule and that was done. The check engine light is caused by a failure of the "purge solenoid". That part was not in stock and I was told "nobody has one". It will be a few days before that part is available, but I was informed the car is safe to drive. I'll have to come back in again, taking more time out from work, when the part arrives.



Not exactly the best experience, is it?
