Provided by YP.comBarstar is a very good school for beginner bartenders, although it seems a little impossible to remember such a wide variety of drinks and their ingredients, the instructors give very creative and interesting tips to help you hold on to the information, Plus you have a good time and meet some cool people.

Provided by YP.comIt's so much fun!! I loved every class because your learning a lot without the stress and boredom of an actual classroom setting. Each instructor and Diane are so helpful with everything and will go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy the class and learn what you need to know to get a job fast and become successful. Everyone there made sure to answer and demonstrate to any question I had and It was nice that they allowed you to come in anytime before class started to practice. Also, they give you great recommendations and tips to work at a place you like! It was a quick and efficient course that helped me understand everything I need to know to become a great bartender!

This was such an fun and knowledgeable school. All the teachers were so down the earth and they made the class fun to learn, everyday I looked forward for to learning and getting the feel being behind the baar and really feeling comfortable. The teachers gave us real world experience which help me build up my confidents. I had such a good time and learned so much in a short time. the atmosphere was great friendly we all helped each other out we were like one big happy family. I was able to work a full time job and still make it to class the schdeule is on your time they are very flexible. I wanted to give a big shot out to Diane Michelle Alexandra Ray and Jay they were my teacher. oh let me not forget to tell you the bar is your anytime...... This program does exactly what is advertised prepare you for the real world but it's a fun and relaxed course.

Provided by YP.comThis school is awesome. Let me first say it's one of the more affordable programs out there...but its def worth every penny. Its also very flexible; I work two jobs and I will have completed my program in less than two and a half weeks (There are 8 class needed to get ur certificate) I'm a current student here and I've learned sooooooo much about bartending; how to be professional and courteous but also being smart and safe as well. They teach you neat little tricks on how to make more tips. Drinks there are so0o0o0o0o many but once you learn the phrases and tricks they teach you its very easy to remember them all. They teach you how to be very fast; they also build up your confidence behind the bar with the drills. the staff is great...they really make you feel comfortable and make sure you really know what ur doing before you're out on your own....and even after you're out on your own they still continue to help their graduates.
LOL I just wish they had weekend evening classes too...but all the instructors still bartend so I can totally understand not giving up great shifts...LOL great experience

Provided by YP.comBarStar is an amazing school and I have learned the ends and outs of bartending by going here. Barstar is not only flexible with anyone' schedule, but they also hold your hand throughout the who process of it all. If you want to go to a bartending school that teaches you the street way, as well as the professional way of bartending, Barstar is the place to be.

Provided by YP.comGreat place to learn how to be a bartender. The atmosphere is very good for learning, although I think a week course is to short for trying to learn a 100 kinds of drinks to be made, but it is what it is. The teachers are very thorough in teaching the class and are very enthusiastic when teaching about the many, many drinks that I will be making later on,the many, many distractions of being a bartender and the dangers that can occur while being on the job working, very clearly. I would recommend this course to anyone willing to do so. Thank you.

Provided by YP.comBarStar School of Bartending is a great place to get educated on bartending and mixology. Only eight days long, it will be over before you know it, and you'll be a licensed bartender. Then, you can get out there and look for work. This course builds confidence behind the bar so that you won't feel as nervous when put on the spot making drinks. It is worth every penny.

Provided by YP.comI am a past graduate and was told from a past instructor that she's been posting all the negative reviews. I was friends with her after I graduated and found out from HER that she stole from them and made these bad post. What an A$%!! She thought it would be funny. Obviously I'm not friends with her anymore!
I thought the school was awesome and they really were a street smart school as promised. I got a job at Fox and Hound before I graduated and only work 3 nights and make on average $700-$750 in cash. It's friggin' incredible. I'm paying Temple cash each semester with my bar money.
Hope you guys check BarStar out for yourself and do your own investigation instead of listening to loser thieves!!

Provided by YPmobileThis is such an awesome school. The teachers are so much fun to learn from. This was a good time and your learning so much in the process. PS whoever said the teachers are rude is full of it. There are 3 teachers the 2 females are so nice you will feel like you knew them forever. And the man is probably like the nicest guy in the world.

Provided by YP.comIt's sad looking at reviews for different bartending schools and see how the competition has a way of sneaking onto other websites and writing negative reviews. Word of advice...if you are the competition and you plan on writing bad reviews, try using a different email address than your school uses on a daily basis. That's pretty pathetic!!
I went to BarStar and the staff was the most incredible and caring staff that I've ever met. They held my hand through the whole process until I was totally confident when I walked out the door. Now I have been head bartender at a local nightclub for the past 3 months and I'm making a killing!! Thanks again BarStar!!

Provided by YPmobileThis school sucks and the staff us rude don't waste your money on barstar it's a mess!
I'm not exactly sure which staff you are referring to, but there are only a small handful of us! I can tell you that I, Joe, nor the Owner or Erika are by any means rude! You should be extremely ashamed of yourself for trying to deface a person's character simply because the school wasn't the best fit for you (assuming you aren't competition)! Our entire staff as over 40 years combined working in this industry which includes customer service! The last thing any staff would want to be IS rude! This review makes no sense! Clearly you must be mistaking us for another school because I will guarantee that you would not feel this way if you had set foot in our school and not wrote a review that someone must've told you to write!
