On behalf of my entire family, I want to complement Camp Shi'ini on being the best summer camp around. NONE of the other camps offer activities anywhere close to Camp Shi'ini. These guys have archery and horseback riding and canoe races and swimming and hiking and treasure hunts and tepee games and totem pole paint ALL AS REGULAR ACTIVITIES!!!! These are all remarkable activities that Camp Shi'ini offers their campers day-in and day-out. We tried a few of the other campers before we found Camp Shi'ini, and Camp Shi'ini by far the best bang fir the buck. I just enrolled my youngest son for his 7th straight summer at Camp Shi'ini!

3 kids, 8 years, and thousands of wonderful memories later, the Rice family looks back at Camp Shi'ini with the fondest memories you can imagine. My 3 sons LOVED this camp. To this day they talk fondly about the treasure hunt adventures, the horseback riding ribbons and the games they played while paddling canoes or participating in the camp's Olympic Games. Camp Shi'ini is just a wonderful gem in the Pasadena community and I look forward to having grandchildren and continuing the Rice Family tradition at this fantastic camp program. Go Shi'ini!!

Camp Shi'ini is plain and simply the very base summer day camp in Pasadena. Better than Tom sawyer Camp, Better than SummerKids, Better than any of the competitors. Believe me, I have tried them all with my kids. It's not easy being a single father of 3 kids and I can tell you hands-down that Camp Shi'ini is the best bang for your buck in town. The program is first class all the way. My kids love their archery and swimming. And they have this treasure hunt interactive adventure that is the single most creative element that my kids have ever experienced. We will be back at Camp Shi'ini in 2015 and 2016 and 2017 ...

I sent my 7 year old son to Camp Shi'ini in 2012 and he had a incredible experience. He learned about Native American Indian activities like archery and canoes and horseback riding. The counselors were very friendly and the kids were extremely well behaved. It was a great experience through and through. We were in Europe much of last summer so we could not attend, but we are coming back 3 days per week this summer. I endorse Camp Shi'ini highly.

I am a former Camp Shi'ini camper, who attended from 2004 or 2005 (I think) until 2010. Now that I'm in high school, I look back at my time at Shi'ini with such fondness. The counselors were all fantastic and I still recognize some of them around town. And the activities were so cool. I remember shooting archery in the Arroyo Seco and going swimming at PCC. But the best part was the treasure hunt!! I remember battling Shish-Boom-Rah and "saving the world" with the help of the Eskino Queen, Don Diego, and Bison! I'm so glad that I got to be part of Camp Shi'ini and as a former camper, I strongly recommend it!

The Russos love Camp Shi'ini! Our son attended from '09-'12 anbd our daughter started in '11 and still attends. It's a wonderful day-camp and unquestionable the best one in Pasadena. Give them a try, it'll be well worth it!

With 4 kids, it's very hard finding a camp that has activities diverse enough for their different personalities and activity preferences. All I can say is Thank God for Camp Shi'ini! We started coming in Summer '12 and have returned every summer since. The counselors are so caring and so dynamic, my kids really love them all. It's hard finding a camp that has counselors who return back year over year, but that's what's so cool about Camp Shi'ini ... the counselors are very consistent year-to year ... and they're all just wonderful. The camp's different activities are so much fun for my kids. They have archery and horse back riding and canoe rides and swimming -- the list of amazing events goes on and on. All 4 of my kids are captivated by their treasure hunt adventure where they go out in the Lower Arroyo Seco looking for treasure with costumed heroes helping them and costumed villains trying to stop them. So creative! The Gutiérrez Family loves Camp Shi'ini and we are coming back this summer for more fun!!!!

This is a very good camp and I strongly support it and recommend it. They have quality counselors and very good activities. I feel my daughter is safe in their care and it is close to where I live so in case of an emergency I am close. We were in the Santa Anita Mall doing Christmas shopping last month and my daughter recognized one of the counselors from the camp. We were very impressed that he remembered my daughter's name. That really made her day. It's an A+ camp!

This is a very good summer day camp. My wife and I wanted our son to go to a quality day-camp last summer without the prolonged absence from home of a sleep-away-camp. We heard about Camp Shi'ini and my son really liked it. I just signed him up this weekend for this upcoming summer. One of the best things about Shi'ini is their 6:1 camper to counselor ratio, which I found to be very important, and the best such ratio in Pasadena. It's a wonderful summer camp and I recommend them strongly. -Jim McAnallen

Camp Shi'ini is just a fantastic summer camp. It's very well organized and it has better activities than any of the other camps in town. You won't be disappointed in Camp Shi'ini, so try them in Summer 2014! My eldest son has attended since 2008 and he loves it. My younger son started in 2011 and talks about it every day even during the school year. It's an experience like no other and the Hertz Family recommends it highly!!

I sent my granddaughter here last summer and she had a very positive camping experience. My favorite part is how close the campsite is located to our Pasadena home, yet the camp still maintains a very rural vibe. Overall good kids and a top-tier experience. Great balance of fun and order. Will be back in next summer.

I am proud to say that Camp Shi'ini is the best quality children's summer camp in the entire Los Angeles area. My family lives in the Hollywood Hills and I am happy to drive my son to Pasadena for Camp Shi'ini each summer. I work in Arcadia and the camp is a perfect option for us. The James Family is a big fan of Camp Shi'ini! For 2 straight summers, both of my boys have attended the camp and loved it. My youngest son really enjoys canoeing and totem pole painting. He also has 3 other friends from school that attend the camp and the owners always make sure to put them in the same group as requested. I love how much pride and care they take running the camp! My eldest son really enjoys the treasure hunts, shooting archery, and swimming. I can't say enough good things about Camp Shi'ini, and I very strongly recommend it!

My sons have come to Camp Shi'ini for 3 straight summers and they really love it. The different camp events are really phenomenal. My kids love the archery and bear hunting programs. And the beach trips and swimming are extremely well supervised. It is very important to me for my kids to be in a safe camp with top-notch counselors. And that is precisely what Camp Shi'ini is. They do a very good job and I very strongly recommend Camp Shi'ini.

I am writing this online review because I want to share about my positive experience at Camp Shi'ini last summer. My son's best friend had attended the camp for the past couple of summers and I was a little apprehensive about him going to summer camp. I looked into Camp Shi'ini and really liked what I saw. The staff was wonderful and the owners gave me and my husband a private tour of their campground when we signed up. When my son came home from the first day of camp, he told me it was the most fun he had ever had. The camp's activities are superb and the put a lot of pride into what they do. We will be back at Camp Shi'ini in 2014 and for many summers to come!

I sent my daughter to Camp Shi'ini this past summer and she had the experience of a lifetime. The other kids were warm and welcoming and the counselors were super friendly and just as attentive. And the activities were stupendous. Canoeing, archery, swimming, American Indian totem pole painting, and a treasure hunt like nothing I can describe. We will of course be back next summer, and with our cousins as well. Camp Shi'ini is a wonderful camp experience for any child ... definitely give them a try! Well worth it!

This is a really good camp! Quality counselors and top-tier activities. They also do direct pick-up from our home every morning and drop-off my kids again in the afternoon. This makes things so convenient for my husband and I because we both work. Best camp in Pasadena for sure!! -Leah

I have sent all 3 of my children to Camp Shi'ini for 3 consecutive summers and they love it more and more each year. They are particularly fond of the really cool activities that the camp offers, like a massive treasure hunt, swimming, archery, horseback riding, canoeing, totem pole carving, and a ton more. The counselors are very good and I strongly recommend the camp! Camp Shi'ini has become a cornerstone of our summer!
