BEWARE: Watch out for their "reviews" from a site called reputation.com where they ask their customers to fill out a report. Check out the site. It's made for FILTERING OUT NEGATIVE REVIEWS.

The lady in charge of arraigning the move, Sigal, was very friendly and helpful. But the actual move was horrible. The movers, specifically Ortiz, was unprofessional, rude, didn't care about my property and actually tried to steal a box of alcohol bottles I had. I went with Summit Van Lines because they had a good price but in the end I ended up losing since my furniture got damaged, stained, cut up and broken. Avoid unless you want to spend time filing a claim to try and get some money to replace your items.

Here's what will happen if you go with them:

- Movers will shop up late to your initial location.

- Movers won't wrap up furniture

- They'll arrive suspiciously late to your new place somehow acquiring another worker

- They'll leave all your furniture in puddles of water, get their sweat all over your items so that it stains, and carry it without any padding/blankets/covers so everything breaks and gets scratched.

- Ortiz will then yell at you because you complain that your items are coming into your apartment dirty, broken or both.

- Eventually you'll get tired or Ortiz's attitude and disregard for your furniture that you end up helping move things into the apartment just to have the move be over.

- Lastly you'll notice that the box of alcohol bottles that was loaded last somehow hasn't made it into your apartment. Only after insisting for a long time that the box hasn't shown up, they'll "find" the box they tried to STEAL from you in the back of the truck with someone else's property.

I'm currently filing a claim with their 3rd party company which I really doubt will fix the negligence displayed by their movers because the process is overly complicated.

It was a wonderful , stress free experience from beginning to end. The first call to make an appointment, location site signing the contract, the movers from pick up to drop off. I highly recommend this moving company and will use them in my future.

Consumers and Carriers Beware, Summit Van Lines is a Scam Operated by Ofer Gazit and Guy Shoshan, do not let the name Summit Van Lines fool you, they are no different than the local rogue company. Summit Van Lines and their associates are nothing but a bunch of Lying thieves. I have complaint to the BBB regarding their practices and they responded with nothing but lies! Not only did they defraud my company by $1020 but they have also charged for cubic feet that wasn’t correct, and damaged all of our customers furniture at the time of delivery. They also refuse to pay for damages to the customer and return all federal contract back to my company, I have also heard from other moving companies they have been a victim of their so call Credit refund and lack of original contract being send back to the originating carrier. Employees working for Summit Van Lines have also come forward regarding their pay being cheated and not being told prior that they made a mistake in some case some of their labor workers came forward and told me that when Guy Shoshan was confronted of the pay error that they made an excused that they damaged something or that they didn’t work the hours etc. the list goes on. A company like Summit Van Lines should be under investigation by Immigration, Labor department and other federal departments regarding their business practice. I have already launch several complaints to federal and local authorities regarding their business practice along with affidavit sworn testimonials of prior employees that have had issues along with prior carriers that they have defrauded. STAY AWAY FROM SUMMIT VAN LINES. DO NOT BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM.

Worst moving experience imaginable

A contract was signed and 3/4 of my things were placed in the truck. Then they demanded more money, or they would put my things in the street. I verified a pick up date for my move from Memphis to Charleston. 24 hours prior to my scheduled move date, I was told they could not come. I was told they may be able to come 24 hours after the agreed date. While this interfered with my move significantly, I understand things happen. The day of the second scheduled move date, they were an hour late. I was told they would come in, look at my belongings, and give me an exact price. Everything was packed and out in the open. He looked around, gave me a price, and a contract was signed. He also took half of my payment via credit card. I was previously told the average move time was 2-4 hours. Almost 8 hours later, the movers stopped. They told me they needed more money. They underestimed the amount of stuff I had and how much room it would take in the truck. I told him we have a signed contract stating the price and he could not make me pay more. He called his boss, who verified they needed more money. He then asked to speak to me on the movers cell phone. He was rude and pushy. He said he would have his men unload my things and leave them in the street if I did not give him more money. At this point I was in tears. My apartment lease was up, I had no where to go, and I could not move all of my stuff alone. I called the police, to ask if they could do anything. 3 officers showed up, and the movers agreed to continue moving my things. However, he said it was only because he was so tired. His boss still wanted him to unload my things. He also told me he had no more room in his truck and he could not take the remainder of my things. I was then forced to load my car alone. After it was packed full, I had to throw out the remainder of my belongings because I had no more room. This included an old record player. The next day, I was driving back to SC when I was called by the mover. He said he had to deliver Sunday. I stated on my contract the only day they could not deliver was Sunday, due to restrictions of my new townhome community. He said it would be a "very big problem" if I was not available on Sunday. My parents dropped everything and begged the complex to give them the keys so I could move in Sunday. My dad drove across town and the townhome community stayed late to give my dad the keys. 1 hour prior to scheduled delivery, the driver calls and says he is in Alabama and will not be delivering today. I told him he had to have known this yesterday. He was either driving to Sc, or he wasn't. He then yelled and hung up the phone on me. A few days later, my things were delivered. There were dents in every piece of wood furniture I own, and the fragile boxes were thrown about and stacked without care. This was the most stressful moving experience I could have imagined. Please do not use this company. They are a scam and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Terrible! Do not use them

DO NOT I repeat, DO NOT use this company. Run the other direction...fast

I have never had a migraine as bad as when I was dealing with this company. We were moving from Atlanta to Houston and decided to use this company based on a recommendation. (Thanks a lot) we scheduled a pick up on a Saturday but decided to wait a couple days more. So we rescheduled it to Tuesday from 12-2PM. On Tuesday morning, we hear the door bell ring at 9AM. The bf wakes up and surprisingly, the movers are here. the movers had an accent. Im guessing theyre Russian?? I don't know. Whatever, it didn't really bother us. Except the fact that we weren't finished packing all the small stuff. So the bf sent them away for an hour.

An hour later, they came back and starting packing all the big stuff (TV, furniture, etc) the packing and loading took all day. We didn't have an address for the movers because we have not signed a lease yet in Houston. No problem because the manager said they can put it in storage. We paid a deposit and tipped the movers $100.

A week after our move to Houston, we sign a lease and sent in the forms via E-mail to Summit. They said that it would take about 2 weeks for our furniture to come in and that they would call us a day before they arrive. 2 weeks go by and NO call. We called Summit and asked where our stuff was. The woman on the phone said she never received it. I informed her that I spoke with someone and they said they did receive it. The woman then says she will call me back after she figures it out in the morning. NO call! So I called her back the next day and she said she just opened the E-mail (((face palm))) Okay whatever just deliver the stuff.

2 weeks later the movers called me the day before THANKSGIVING and asked if they could deliver our stuff on THANKSGIVING day. I don't know about them but this is a major holiday that most Americans celebrate! Also, our concierge at the condo would not allow heavy traffic on that day anyway. We told them they had to wait until the day after Thanksgiving. They didn't sound too happy but who cares.

Our stuff finally arrived the day after Thanksgiving and I was relieved and happy because I could not stand to sleep on an air mattress anymore and I couldn't wait to hook up the TV. This time, there were different movers than the first.

TV??? What TV??? We had two flat screen TV's that were not delivered. Broken mirrors and a broken china cabinet. Also, we counted and 2 boxes were not delivered. What the flying F! I was so pissed but after all the stress this company has put me through. I was over it! We did not tip the movers and sent them on their way. Good bye...forever! The only good thing is that the movers accidentally left his tool box at our place.

I called the manager the next day and told her about the TV's. Apparently someone "broke into" the storage and stole some items. What a SHADY company! They thought they were going to deliver whatever and expect me to not notice our TVs are missing?? Well the manager sent over insurance forms to fill out and claim what was missing. We claimed 2 flat screen TVs, 2 broken mirrors, a broken china cabinet, and 2 missing boxes. The crappy insurance that Summit Van Lines has only cover .60/LB. We ended up getting $320. Enough to cover a 32" TV.

DO NOT use them unless you want to go through a lot of stress...and lose a lot of money paying them and replacing your expensive items.

We were moving about 3 miles and had done a lot of research for movers. We were terrified after reading company after company of horrific experiences people had had with their movers. We came across prodigy and both decided this was the company to go with. Our guys showed up on time, were super friendly and got to work right away. They took super good care of all of our stuff never took a break and we were so impressed and relieved that everything went just beautifully. We even had a pit stop at another location in order to pick up more furniture and they didn't charge us extra for that because it was on the way. If you need good movers that are dependable, won't overcharge you, threaten you, or take their time to run up the rate, choose this company. They are by far the most professional and efficient I have ever seen. This company did not have any extra costs and was well worth every penny we spent for the move. No scratches on our stuff and everything put exactly where we wanted it. We will be referring people to them. If you're moving somewhere in FL, check into this company for a worry-free experience.

Just a few days ago I had to move my vintage pinball machine from my old apartment to a new apartment. I was worried since the job required good care but based on reviews from the net I contacted Summit Van Lines..and I'm glad I did, they were very friendly and professional and they planned out the best way to maneuver my delicate but very heavy pinball machine out the door. They understood the value of my "toys" and moved them with gentle efficiently while wrapping them in blankets .Right from the sales team to the moving all these guys were a pleasure to work with. Thanks Summit Van Lines.,

I do not have a single complaint about Summit Van Lines and I simply found them to be great. I checked out 1 other company and found them returning my telephone call within 24 hours. I even received a post-move call to see if there were any problems. A few days before the move, they sent me an email to size-up and confirm my inventory (I'm assuming to send the appropriate truck). On the day of the move, two guys –came along with their big truck arrived within the agreed window period. Items were brought to the truck quickly, but cautiously. They made a great effort to not break or damage anything. At the new location, they placed the boxes in the designated areas. Nothing broken. I highly recommend Summit Van Lines

Initially we assumed our 7 hour move would have been full of stress and only after trying Summit Van Lines we realized that it was indeed very much stress free . We had two households merging into one therefore had to take two stops plus lots of other stress-inducing factors, but all went smooth as a cakewalk. The moving team was strong, careful and quick. These guys carried tasks like a true professional and we watched the foreman was able to carry one particularly heavy load through the doorway, with maybe a half-inch to spare on each side and he did it so carefully, meticulously jiggering it on his back to make sure he had the angle just-so, and gracefully. Overall it was a timely accomplishment and we appreciated their effforts. Thanks Summit Van Lines.

I moved just over a just yeste...

I moved just over a just yesterday, and am finally unpacked, it was a short move, I stayed in Miami and have never used movers before, but will always use them from now on.

Summit Van Lines were fantastic. They were polite, courteous, and helpful on the phone. They gave me all the information on the phone and answered all of my questions. My sister has used movers several times and gave me some advise on questions to ask about hidden costs and the people on the phone covered almost everything on my list before I had a chance to ask about it. They also emailed me an official quote and gave me names and phone numbers to call in case I had any questions.

Booking was a piece of cake, I gave them a day and they gave me a choice of times, confirmed with an email, and then called to confirm the day before the move reminding me that they would call 1-2 hours before the movers were to arrive. And that is exactly what happened! The 2 guys who moved me were great, they were friendly and talked to me while moving me quicker than I could have imagined, I have a one bedroom, and they had everything wrapped and loaded into the truck in an hour. It took them about 90 minutes to unload everything and put my bed, desk and bookshelf back together for me. I moved in with a friend who had a couple of heavy things to take down to the curb, and the guys even did that for us, for no extra charge.

This was the best moving experience I've ever had and I'm sure a large part of it was because of the movers. I will use this company every time I move from now on, they were amazing!!

The movers from Summit Van L...

The movers from Summit Van Lines provided us a friendly personalized service to any move, large or small. Moving from my old apartment to new apartment was a monumental task. 12,000 square feet of office, plus another 5,000 square feet of warehouse space containing the most odd assortment of delicate works of art was moved quickly and carefully. Over the course of one week they accomplished the task on time and at a reasonable cost. The company provides a friendly, personalized service to any move, large or small. After the job was done the amount due was less than the initial quote and since they completed it before time the amount reduced a little lower than the initial estimate for which I had to face a little inconvenience of going to my bank and ordering a separate cheque for them otherwise their service was not bad at all.

I had a shipment of furniture ...

I had a shipment of furniture at a warehouse, to be delivered and uncrated. I only had 3 days to get this done, but Adam made it happen!

After discussing the situation, he said, "No problem" and all I had to do was send him the release form, meaning I didn't have to go back with his movers to get the furniture.

They charged $90/hr with a minimum of 3 hours. When Adam's guys came here (Alex and David - who were really fabulous and courteous), they uncrated everything, and helped me unwrap my furniture. Quick and easy...that's what I needed with short notice, and Adam and his guys got it done. (Bonus, they'll take credit cards so no worries about having enough cash on hand at the end of the move)

I'll be definitely keeping these guys in mind if I ever have another move.

Thank you Adam, Alex and David.

Mike has provided peace of mind by emphasizing no hidden costs what -so-ever. He has also confirmed the appointment a day in advance and followed up with me the day after the move. This is service I had not received before from a moving company.

As for the move itself, the movers arrived on time, sociable, and were kind. No job seemed too difficult for them. The time it took to move took a bit longer than I had anticipated but all in all, it was all done with satisfaction and care.

I'm very happy with Summit Van Lines. I just finished a local move The movers who came to my place were great. They did an excellent job. Everything happened on time, nothing was damaged, and they were very helpful. They did most of my packing for me and I thought they did a great job and they were quick.

Only the resaon I am going to give 4 star because the communication was delayed.

Overall, however, I would highly recommend them because the movers themselves were so good.

I had Summit Van Lines sought out because of the great track record they had, backed up by information through a colleague from our office I decided to speak with the sales rep and booked them up. They were on-time, friendly, careful, and quick. I moved into a building with pretty strict guidelines, and they handled it without any issues. I had a fair amount of heavy glass furniture and a couch that only barely could fit into my original apartment....they wrapped everything safe and snug and were done faster than the estimated time. I will definitely use them again for any move within the area . My only concern was that due to some reason they did not accept payment thru card on that day and I had to arrange for a cashier’s cheque from my bank which caused some inconvenience otherwise their service was not bad.

Can’t believe what a good job and great experience I had working with Summit Van Lines. They were very reliable and easy to talk to, I was moving from Florida to Nevada due to my wife’s job relocation and they really came through when it came to our last minute move. They worked hard on our inventory list, giving us a good price and delivering all of our furniture onetime so we could move into our new home right away. Thank you for all the hard work, job well done.
