I just wanted to say Thank you for always ensuring such a prompt with the service and reply in time when something is wrong with the apartment so for this year. I didn’t have much time to find a good place so I picked here because it was cheap. Bit of a mistake. The appliances are decades old and the A/C doesn’t work well (very loud too and I woke up a couple mornings with my shirts soaked and reeking from the A/C unit leaking). The elevators were often broken as well. A lot of drug users live there and you’ll often see homeless people sleeping in the lobby or hanging around at back.

The front office was nice at first but be very careful when you move-out. The safety deposit was placatingly low but the fees for minor “issues” (like soap residue in the sink) are a bit ridiculous. I agreed with Janet to a 1 month extension a couple months before lease ending because the new apartment I had signed a lease to wasn’t completed with construction. On my last check I indicated that it was final payment per our agreement but apparently that wasn’t “written” notice so they charged me an extra $800. Didn’t find out about until weeks after I moved out (they didn’t say anything until then, not even a phone call, just kept the keys). I asked to speak to a supervisor but Nancy refused and was really rude. That’s what was most disappointing.

On the pro side, again, it’s very cheap, even with parking. It’s also pretty close to downtown. I would never live there again but maybe your experience will be better than mine. It’s probably better served as a last resort though.

Overall I've been very, very pleased with Zender! This has been my very 1st appointment and I've known Tracy, Mark, Tim, and Lisa Zender along with the receptionist Nancy and Janet for years! They have all been very nice and considerate and willing to help you when issues came up as well. I love that the maintenance dept will respond within a day or so to repair any issue that comes u- i guess at other facilities that are not the norm.

Whenever we have a problem in our apartment it gets fixed within a day or two. Good for the most part, I’ve long since figured out that no apartment is going to be perfect. This is one of my better experiences with a rental provider.

I live at the Harrison and wanted to take an opportunity to both thank and compliment the maintenance staff from Zender. Donnell helped me with an emergency maintenance concern a couple of week s ago and this friendly and his friendly and cheerful demeanor made my night. I don’t know what I would have done without his help. Also, Keith walked me through the ins and outs of the heating system, and also surprised me by dropping off a space heater. Now it’s warm and toasty. These guys are really top-notch. Thanks again.

These people “Rock”! I have lived in their apartments for several years now and they are always friendly and prompt on what they do. I have lived with Zender two times. I left for a while and came back because I just didn’t like the other company. The competitor was terrible with maintenance!! I lived with Zender from 7/2002 to 2/2008, and now from 1/2010 to the present.

Overall the company is great. They are prompt with maintenance requests. The people in the office are great. You can always find someone in the office to help you out. They seem to really care about the tenants.

The maintenance staff is exemplary! I've lived at Zender for four years and there has not been a single time where they did not respond courteously and promptly to fix the various problems to my satisfaction.
