Even though they didn't have a place for me to rent at this time, the people at Zender were very kind to me. They even went as far as directing me to someone who might have a place for me to rent, and I was very impressed by that. What great customer service.

The folks here have been great to deal with even though I seem to only call when there is a problem. They get things back under control in short order, no doubt due to their active solution process. They get things taken car of promptly.

It was such a pleasure to meet you and my new apartment is so nice. Thank you so much!

All of you at Zender have been wonderful! Thank you for taking such great care of the building and making it a caring and safe place to live. I will not forget it!

During the process of me moving to the Indi. area, the manager from Zender was amazing to work with. Every property she showed to me fit my needs, and she did not wast my time showing me apartments over my budget, or outside the area I wanted to live in. These are very good people to work with if you are searching for a new place to live.

This is a great time to let you know how much I have appreciated you as managers. You have all been so considerate and friendly. I cant thank you enough!

After renting from Zender Properties, I highly recommend that you DO NOT rent from these people! They lie about move out charges, and they take advantage of there lease terms. My examples below:

When I moved out of my apartment, I got a bill for roughly $1,000 that included a carpet replacement and cleaning fees. The apartment was left in good condition, and the carpet was in good condition. They said it was an 'opinion' that it needed to be replaced. I requested a copy of the invoice or I wouldn't pay it. I then spoke with my old neigbor at the time and she said that they had sent someone in to steam clean my apartment (she asked them as a request of me, and they confirmed they were an outside company there to clean my apartment's carpets). When Zender realized that I wanted the invoice, it took them 4 months to produce one. Basically, they lied and said they were replacing the carpet when in reality they were just cleaning it. I caught them lying in the act, but they went back and replaced it after the fact to cover themselves. They are ridiculous. When I called them out there response was "you can take it up in court." It seems that is all they have to say.....pretty pathetic.

On another night, a friend of mine came over and was parked on the side of the building. There was no sign that said tenant/permit parking only anywhere. Later that night his car was towed. We complained and said there was no sign, but Zender said there is a sign there and that it is a designated tenant/permit parking. After argueing and getting nowhere with them (as they always are 100% right in there opinion), i went out and took pictures. A couple days later a maintenance man was outside putting up signs. I then called the management again to show them the pictures and how I caught them lying (yet once again). All they said to me was if I had a problem to take it up in court. In the end it wasn't worth a $70 tow fee to go to court.

I got a note that said I violated the lease by having 2 dogs in my apartment. I have 1 dog. I contacted the leasing office and they said that a worker had seen me w/ two dogs. Now, all that happened was my friend walked by one day w/ his dog and came up for roughly 15mins. Because of this Zender charged me a $100 fee, and said that if I didn't pay I could challenge it in court. I told them that the dog was there for 15 mins, but they didn't care.

Zender uses the lease as a tool to be able to legally charge you whatever you want, and in the end if you complain they will just tell you to go to courth. If you have ever had the liberty of going to a small claims court w/ those bloodsucking scumbag lawyers and judges, it's a complete scam. You will lose in the end b/c they will pull out the lease and show your signature and you owe them whatever.

I have talked with other residents/former residents and have come across many of the same complaints. unfortunately Zender knows that most people don't have the money to hire a lawyer so they will be safe in court. Please listen to me, go somewhere else....DO NOT RENT FROM ZENDER!
