This was the very best car buying experience we have ever had! The salesperson and entire staff were friendly and took care of all our needs. We loved the “no pressure” manner of selling us a car. We visited two other Nissan dealerships and so glad that we went to Texas Nissan in Grapevine!!! Third dealership was a charm! :) A fabulous group of people working together to make the customer happy!

service department

I took my armada in because my a.c. was not working. We were greeted with great customer service. The service rep Malcolm was very helpful and understanding. The part we needed was a bit pricey ..as all dealerships..but I called auto part store and found a part half the price. Malcolm was great to tell us they would install the part if we brought it in. Jessie service manager was also very professional. We were skeptical to come here based on some reviews I read; however, we had a good experience and would recommend to anyone. To add to this I have always had good service w understanding to my budget constraints at any Nissan service departments.

I was called into Texas Nissan...

I was called into Texas Nissan back in August 2011 to view a used 2008 Nissan Armada, the interior was a total disaster –food, suckers stuck to the seat, a used sock, etc. The customer service was unlike no other I ever experienced - and that’s not a good thing. During negotiation, I felt like I was being hustled by some street kid. Once an agreement was made, the dealership sent my pay-off to the wrong financial institution. They did not contact the organization to confirm pay-off amount and mailing address before sending a check - poor business sense.

After only a couple weeks, the maintenance light was triggered. I scheduled a service appointment to get it checked out. Although the problem was addressed, I was back in service once again about a month later, same issue. When I requested loaner that would seat a large family of four, I was given a Nissan Rogue in which I had to put gas into the following day.

At the time of sale, a list of noticeable defects was provided to Garrett Elkins in Pre-own vehicles and submitted for approval. The dealer rep determined that they would only address what was listed on the We Owe agreement and nothing else. They did not want to incur additional costs and would make little return on the deal. Although my additional maintenance requests came a couple days later, it was not approved.

There were immediate things noticed upon purchasing the vehicle, there were others I could not have noticed due to time constraints and it was so late in the day. In my dealings with Garrett, I felt pressured into buying as opposed to being coached.

The following is a list of concerns provided to the Service department:

• Vehicle Inspection (the salesman informed me that the vehicle underwent a 100 point inspection. Come to find out, it was not inspected nor certified)

• Front passenger window malfunction, does not go all the way up when the driver side button is pressed (continues to happen on rare occasions)

• Lift gate malfunctions, does not close all the way at times – forced to exit the vehicle to close manually (continues to happen on occasions)

• Third row seat makes a very loud noise when engaging automatic function (during the sale, Garrett assured me the repair would be covered as stated on We Owe. It was never repaired. Garrett backed out on the agreement.)

• The “Service Engine Soon” light has been triggered on multiple occasions (waiting in service for over four hours and the light is back on. The GM - Johnny Cantrell, informed me they will not address the problems until I remove my comments from Dealer Rater - public perception wins over customer service)

• Vehicle License Plate (According to Service Dept, the original paperwork was misplaced and had to be resubmitted. So as of today 10/15/2011, still no plates)

It is really sad that customers are treated with such poor customer service and neglect as I have by Garrett and team. During the purchasing process, I had to pull Garrett aside to himself and have a one-on-one conversation about how I was being mistreated. His response was that he felt no matter what they did to provide satisfactory customer service; I was still not going to be happy. This was absolutely untrue due to the fact up to that point; I had only requested two (2) visible broken pieces be replaced. Garretts demeanor, facial expressions and tone proved that he was more focused on the sale as opposed to the customer satisfaction.

After researching Dealer Rater, I noticed there have been multiple complaints similar to my issue dating all the way back to 5/2010. I will continue to take necessary measures for as long as it takes to highlight the incompetence and blatant disregard of just the basic level of customer service observed at Texas Nissan.

Clinton was by far the best car salesman I have ever done business with. He went above and beyond for me, and because of that I will only buy from him. Josh also did an amazing job walking me through my new car’s features and setting up my Bluetooth for me. Both of them built great rapport with me and I feel like I can trust tem with all my future car needs.
