I love the way they designed t...

I love the way they designed the store. It feels like home and that sets the mood. I had my two dogs groomed and they looked great. The cost wasn't that bad. When I picked my dogs up they wasn't stressed. It felt like I was picked my dogs up from a friends house not a dog kennel.

I was there a few days ago and thought the service was great but an employee named Debbie was kinda rude to me. My dog looked great don't get me wrong but a professional should treat customers better than what she did.

Great Place

Staff is professional, courteous, and friendly...I'm not sure where all the other reviews are talking about with the people being rude. They are above and beyond friendly...I noticed that they remembered mine and my dog's name after the first time I used them. My dog is always excited to go there and tired (well exercised) when I pick him up. It's cage free, secure (double double gates), and a fantastic environment.

As an employee at petstarz I cannot help but notice that some of the negative reviews are a bit dramatic. We try to make the customers experience with us as pleasant as possible and we have never been yelled at by the owner especially in front of a customer. We try not to shout to each other but we do work with dogs who love to bark and we cannot use walkie-talkies because they will get chewed on by the dogs. Even before I worked at petstarz I always had a great experience whenever I brought in my brain damaged beagle, max. We also charge a $10 daycare fee if you are late picking up your dog from grooming because it is against the rules to leave a dog unattended in a kennel. Most times we won't even charge it if you call and alert us as long as its under an hour.

We love Pet Starz

The owner of Pet Starz rescued our dog, who was a stray, in August 2010. She helped our family to adopt him shortly after that time. He began going to daycare at the facility several days a week since my husband and I both work and we didnt want to leave a puppy at home alone all day. That was eight months ago, and although he isnt really a puppy anymore he still goes to daycare most days each week! He absolutely loves the staff there, and cant wait to play with his fellow canine friends upon arrival. We couldnt have asked for any better help than we got from Deb (the owner) and all of the staff at Pet Starz, who have assisted us in daily training of our dog and help with any problems that we may be having with him. They go above and beyond with their daycare services---but we have also attended their training classes and used their boarding and grooming services--and have never had a problem with any ot them. I would strongly recommend Pet Starz to anyone with a dog. They not only helped us in finding a great pet----but with their caring, hard work, and dedication, they have helped to make him an absolute perfect fit for our family. Thank you Deb and everyone at Pet Starz!

I was very upset with the customer service also, but the groomer was very sweet and professional and done an awesome job on my dog i just wished she worked somewhere better, the owner was being very unprofessional by yelling at staff in front of customers it made me feel very uncomfortable there

I have used the grooming and daycare. Every time I visit I have a different experience. The grooming service is always done wonderful and the prices are competitive. The daycare is overpriced but my dog is always happy. The main downside I have is the customer service. I always feel like I am an inconvenience to them and that I am bothering them by bringing in my pet. Sometimes they yell to me instead of coming over to the counter. The are in a customer service profession and have seem to forgot that.

Rude owner/ manager!

We won a gift certificate to PetStarz through Q98 from a promotion they were doing. So I made an appointment to get my cockpoo puppy groomed. I was able to get an appointment for the same day. When I got there with my puppy, they were very nice to me at first, but then when they found out that I had a gift certificate the ladies attitude changed completely and went from nice to rude.



When I told her I had a gift certificate, the lady was like "you should have told me this when you made the appointment because we book those appointments with certain groomers because the groomer doesn't get paid if you have a gift certificate, etc, etc" I was confused by her reaction because I would assume that the whole point of doing this promotion would be to attract people to keep coming to the business. But after the way I got treated I would never go back!



So I dropped off my puppy and they said it would take about 2 hrs for the grooming and that they would call when she was done. So I drove back home and they called after about a hour and 10 mins and said she was done. I asked if I could pick my dog up in about a hour and the lady was like "One hour is OK. But if you are not here in one hour we are going to have to charge a $10 boarding fee" How ridiculous is that??



Anyway, I was very satisfied with the work of the groomer itself. My puppy looked adorable. But the owner lady needs a lesson in customer service!! And again why do a promotion if you are going to be rude to the people that come in with the gift certificate??

I never meant to come off rude. Our groomers offer a free grooming worth fifty dollars every week to do something special. I would like for the winners to please let us know because of course we want to make sure the groomers take turns since they are not paid for them. That day the groomer had already done one the day before so I would like to have scheduled it for the following day with another groomer. Thanks and no harm was meant. Sorry it this person felt I was rude.

I've been bringing my dog for Day Care once a week for the last month. Zoe was abused and abandoned before I got her, and is quite fearful. The staff is working hard to make her experience positive. She's slowly coming around. I appreciate the extra effort that the staff is making and think it will help her in the long run.

I have brought my dog here on a few occasion, every time I have gone to pick her up there is an issue. Their flyers say they open at one time and the staff says another, even when you show up 15 minutes after opening their staff is still unprepared to receive customers. They talk about there clients openly and I must add rather rudely give their I am sure unwelcomed opinions

In response to this comment. I am sorry to hear a client was unhappy at Petstarz. First of all I do apologize for the change in operating hours. We did change hours after opening and some of the old flyers were still out there and it confused some clients but we did the best we could to fix that and retrieve all the old flyers A pet business such as ours is very busy in the early morning hours with boarding clients checking in .. checking out and grooming clients checking .. daycare clients checking in etc.. needless to say its very noisy and a overwhelming. If it seems like we are ever unprepared.. trust me we are!!. we are up at the crack of dawn letting the dogs in out for potty .. feeding all our boarding dogs.. cleaning the facility and kennels and this is all done before we open. It an unusual business and please bear with us if you do come right when we opening because it is the most hectic time of the day for us. Thanks for you understanding and we love our jobs and as far as I know I know we do not and would never ever say anything about our clients because we have wonderful clients. Its so hard to please everyone and all we can do it try our best to make everyone happy and care for their dogs in the best way we can.
