Have used this company in the past and was satisfied, but they will now be a last resort. Called for a taxi and got voice mail. Left my name and number and waited. Called back fifteen minutes later and got voice mail. Left my name and number and waited. Six minutes later I called another cab company and had a ride within 10 minutes. At the time this review was posted, no one has returned my call and it has been over an hour and a half. Their catchy ad phrase, "you're outstanding! not.. out standing". BS!

We used another taxi service to get to the airport and they were almost an hour late. We called them twice and were told they "were on their way". When we asked the driver what the delay was, he said he had only received the dispatch order a few minutes previous. Then he said that we really had to call several hours ahead (which we had done!) or use Dave's taxi. We were a bit surprised that a driver would recommend a competitor, but we used Dave's for our next ride and weren't disappointed. On time and professional. Thanks Dave's!

Dave is the man. After having been previously burned by a different cab company, Daves Taxi Service is a breath of fresh air. I called ahead for a cab at a specific time and not only was he on time but five minutes early and was waiting patiently and turns out it was Dave himself that had picked me up. This is a fantastic service that we are lucky to have here in Evansville in the midst of all the other half-baked services. I will only be calling Daves Taxi Service from here on out.

Wow. Dave saved the day for me. I called a different cab company. They were 45 minutes late. I had a plane to catch. I called Dave. He rushed over. Dave got me to the airport with just minutes to spare. He even carried my bags in. Great guy. Awesome service. I will only use him. You should too. Thank you, Dave

Really impressed.Car are very nice ,clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Very fast service.I used another taxi services(unity)Had me waiting for over 2 hours and when i called to cancel because i was tired of waiting dispatcher started screaming at me, She was so unprofessional thats why i will use no other taxi service but dave's from now on

Best taxi service I have ever used. I have traveled for business all over the United States and have never used a cab company that the staff including the owner was hands on and friendly. You are not just another fare to them. They worry about the fact that you make your trip to and from your destination on time and safely, even going out of the way to make sure you return home.

Since moving to Evansville a little over a year ago i have only tried one other taxi and won't be doing that again i waited over an hour both ways.



Bottom line outstanding service and best value in town.

I am retracting my previous review because apparently they had been getting a lot of crank/prank calls lately and the owner personally called back and thoroughly apologized for being rude and answered all my questions!

First time to Evansville this week and was supposed to have a friend drive me but his flight was delayed so I found myself in need of a cab. Dave's was sitting in front of the airport so I hopped in. VERY friendly driver and clean car. Gave me the high level of Evansville.



Later that night I found out that my associate's flight was cancelled, so I called Dave's without hesitation. I asked to be picked up at 8:15 and they were there at 8:14. Again, friendly driver and clean car. I asked if they could pick me up after my appointment and take me to the airport, and again, right on time...but here's the best part. I left my notebook in the car but didn't realize until about 10 minutes later. I called in and Dave the owner answered...said "Don't worry..we'll get it to you asap." I walked out front of the airport and within 20 minutes, Dave drove up with my notebook. Now, that's service!!



I read the other review about not getting a response back. I assume that Dave is a smaller operation and requires some additional scheduling leeway, so if you are in need and you know in advance, I highly recommend them.

I been using this taxi company for just under a yr back and forth for work every week and never had and problems. The drivers are very nice and respectable and reliable, and vehicles are clean and confortable. I would refer this taxi company to anyone.

Dropped off my car rental and needed a cab. Was looking at the reviews and thought I will try this one because of all the 5 star reviews. I got a recording at 7:30 am saying they were on the phone with a customer. Let a message that I needed a ride. Asked them to call if they couldn't make it. After 15 minutes I called yellow. The lady called me back and told me when I could expect here. I disbelieve all the 5 stars. I gave them 2 but they didn't earn them

Best taxi service I've ever experienced. The driver was polite, the van was very clean, and the driver even offered me a bottled water. I was picked up in under 5 min. after calling and the prices were very reasonable. I will always call on Dave's when I need a taxi.

This company is wonderful! Each and every staff member is always prompt, polite and professional! I work for a hospitality company and all of our properties in Evansville exclusively recommend Dave's to their guests. In addition, those of us that travel professionally use Dave's as well. We have never had a single issue and would never dream of using anyone else. Great service, great staff, great product and great people! Thanks guys!

Dave's Taxi is the best Taxi Service by leaps and bounds in the Evansville area (there really is no comparison). When it comes to Dave's Taxi they are always dependable, on time, affordable, friendly, generous, and helpful. Their cabs are always clean, and you always feel like you are being taken care of by professionals. Basically when you call Dave's Taxi you can trust that you will be given the best service possible. I recommend them hands down.

I'm brand new to the Evansville area and wasn't familiar with any of our local taxi services. I called up Dave's Taxi Service for a ride to the airport to pick up a rental car, since they were endorsed by the Better Business Bureau and had good reviews on this site -- YP.com. Overall, I could not have been more pleased with the quick and friendly service! Dave runs his business on integrity and awesome customer service! For example, I was asked multiple times if I was comfortable while riding in the back of the vehicle... he was even earlier than I expected, and the rates are very, very fair. You can't go wrong with Dave's Taxi, as I've used them a couple of times since then -- all with the same excellent results! Very clean, couldn't be more courteous, I can't recommend Dave's Taxi enough! You can't go wrong, so give them a call! 5 Stars A+!

I was recently in Evansville on business and had to run a quick errand before catching a flight later that afternoon. The hotel called Mighty Cab and I waited a subsequent 40+ mins in the lobby losing valuable time. Frustrated I asked the hotel to call another taxi company. They called Dave's Taxi. What a difference. The driver showed up in 5mins. He seemed to know all the shortcuts (saving me valuable time); he was fast, very friendly and even gave me his number so that I could call and get a ride back once I finished my errand without waiting around too long. He got me back to the hotel in record time almost completely making up for the time I lost waiting around for the other taxi company to show up (they never did). Even the hotel said they'll be using Dave's in future. Great service and I will use them every time I visit Evansville.

Dave's Taxi is the ONLY game in town! Dave, Linda, and the entire staff are ALWAYS prompt and courteous! Don't bother calling any other taxi service in the Tri-State area, they are NUMBER 1!

I am so happy with Dave's Taxi Service. I arranged for a cab for the husband to get home late this evening. I just called back to say that his flight might be delayed. The dispatcher told me that they are watching his flight and will be there whenever it arrives, no matter what time. Now, that's service! Thank you Dave's Taxi!

Dave's Taxi Service was prompt and customer friendly! The taxi was clean and provided a nice ride. I was comfortable and felt very safe!! I highly recommend using this taxi service!!

This company is excellent I have used them for all three years that I have lived in Evansville and they are excellent. Very quick to come when you call no more than 15-20 minutes wait they are polite efficient and smart and they make good conversation if you want but no talking if you want silence highly recommend them :)
