Won't warranty work

I brought my truck in for a leaking rear seal on the transmission. Got less than an hour down the road before the tail shaft on the transmission exploded. Was told that it was a wear over time issue caused from excessive shifting. EXCESSIVE SHIFTING. When I replaced the transmission myself I found that the yolk on the drive shaft had serious wear on it. No way they could have replaced the leaking seal without pulling the yolk out to look at it. I wouldn't trust them to change my oil. Everytime I talk to them they have nothing but excuses of how there is no way they could have caused the damage. Very polite, very incompetent, very dishonest.I'm also filing a complaint with the BBB due to their poor customer service.

Wolves in Sheep Clothes

Went in for oil change. When I told them the make of my car they asked me if I used premium gas in my car. When I told them no, I was given the comment that my car should only take premium gas. I was then asked if I used synthetic oil in my car, I mentioned I used to but my regular car repair shop told me as long I changed at 3000 miles, synthetic is not required. I was then given the speech of how my car should only have synthetic oil and that it would ruin my car. I told them to put in the regular oil anyway. As the oil was put in, I was then told, my car already had a leak in it and that I would need to replace by turbo at about $2000. I said I only wanted the oil changed and nothing further. As I paid for my oil, I was given the speech again, that if I have this type of car, I should learn how to take care of it. Every comment given to me with a smile but very condescending. There hasn't been one leak since I left their shop. Interesting -car only leaked there.

Outstanding / Professional Service

I recently took advantage of the $14.95 oil change with Aspen Auto Clinic at the Jet Stream location. Michael was extremely knowledgable, professional and personable. I also explained I was having some brake problems but didn't have the disposable income to have a mechanic fix the problem. He asked his Chevy guy to take a look / test drive my truck. His suggestion to replace the back rotors was spot on! They were the first business to actually tell me what the problem was without telling me I needed all this extra work done to fix the brakes. Thanks to Michael, the Chevy guy and the crew at Aspen Auto Clinic. You've definitely earned my business.

NIce (acting) people who might rip you off

I took my car in for a cheap oil chane they advertised. $450 later the had replaced a battery and several belts, inclding power sterring. They also claimed the front struts were failing and dangerous. I had never had a problem with the 3 year old batttery, but took them at their word even though $175 seemed high. They never showed me the belts they replaced which most honest places do. I asked question about the struts as the car drives fine and I had in across Engineer pass this summer without problems. So I got two other shops to look. Result no problem seen in struts and they had NEVER heard of struts failing in a Mitsubshi with only a 100000 miles. Guess what? A week later my power steering (they "replaced" the belt?) went out. They are vwery nice and smile a lot, you know, like Robin Hood.

Aspen is a Ripoff

Aspen auto clinic is a total ripoff. My daughter went to Aspen on Mark Dabling blvd. for a front end alignment. They told her correctly that she needed a new steering knuckle, however this is the only thing they got correct. They lied to her, stating that she needed also a new hub bearing, camber bolt, bearing seal, when in fact this all is one unit that comes with the steering knuckle. They quoted her $1005.51 for a new or $777.34 for a used steering knuckle. She knew something was up as this was a ridiculous price. She went to another shop in town and the total cost was $230.45, including the front-end alignment. Aspen had the audacity to charge her $27 for the alignment test when she told them she would forgo the repair. She spent a fraction of the cost and her car is now driving very nicely. Again, do NOT take your car to Aspen auto clinic unless you want to be charge 4 times the actual cost of repairs.

My Saturn is safe at Aspen :D

I'm soooo glad I found Aspen! I bought my Saturn brand new in 2005 and I've always tried to take really good care of it, but I had a BAD experience with two different shops who said I needed like 3,000 dollars of work on it!I was going to put it on my credit card until my mom said to take it to Aspen and I am so glad I did! Kira is the one who always takes care of me and she is just awesome! I don't have a lot of extra cash because I'm in school, but she always makes sure I'm within my budget. I just got my spark plugs changed and new brakes on my Saturn and it feels really good, she even had the mechanic show me how the brakes worked which was really cool! My oil was really gross she showed me that too...I promise I'll stay on my up oil changes Kira!

the best service in town

WOW, I took my Toyota Van into Aspen Auto Clinic and I was greated by the most friendly people I have ever seen in a auto repair shop! They got me right in, offered me a soda and had my electric door diagnosed in no time. I was not happy that the door broke and that it's an expensive repair, but they did a great job helping me with a stressful situation. The mechanic was super nice and made the door work temperarily until the part came in. I could not be happier want everyone in town to know about these guys!

These guys rock

Aspen Auto Clinic takes care of my 96 Jetta VR6. This car is my baby and they seem to be one of the only ones in town who really know VW's. I appreciate that they keep me updated when my car is in the shop and give me options. They seem to be more professional than most shops and I really appreciate that.

A Good Company

I am new to Colorado Springs. I had a fuel supply line leak on my 2006 BMW 325xi and needed to the car repaired fast. So, I did not compare Aspen Auto to other establishments. However, I felt the service received and the value paid was satisfactory. I would recommend one consider Aspen Auto for their auto repair needs.

Great Service

Aspen completed the job at a reasonable price, at least a day early and I got a call back a few days after I picked up my car just to make sure everything was working great.

Excellent Customer Service

This is the first time that I have taken my car to Aspen Auto. I was highly impressed, both with the service, as well as the friendliness of the place. They have better prices than other places and I enjoyed my wait, something that has never happened while waiting for my car. Their waiting area has a lot of extras that you don't find elsewhere, such as a stocked fridge and snacks for the customers. I talked quite a bit with the office staff; I learned quite a bit from them and found them to be quite plesant - very important to me. Thank you, E Stone

Totally disagree

I totally disagree with this comment below. I have used Aspen for years, both at the Union location and the Mark Dabling location. Sometimes mechanics make mistakes, but when they do, if a customer brings it to the attention of the management at these stores, they always listen and provide a fair response. I had work done once that was not originally listed, and when they asked for payment I noticed this and brought it up, and they didn't charge me for the parts or labor! As long as you know what is going on and are willing to bring any issues up, the management will work with you. Other places I have been to in the past, have not been so accomodating. I recommend this business for auto repairs whole heartedly!

Great Service - and they got it done faster than promised

I was very pleased with the service I received at Aspen Auto Clinic on Mark Dabbling. I Brought my car there and they were able to price match another store that wanted me to put my repairs on their high interest store card. Also one the repairs that the other place said needed to be done Aspen said there was nothing wrong. The lobby was clean and modern and they really seemed to care about educating me about my car and preventative maintenance to avoid costly repairs or damage later. Jessica

WARNING: Do not take your car to ASPEN AUTO in the Springs

I had my car towed to Aspen Auto Clinic after it broke down in the Springs. They called with a diagnosis that there was no compression in my #4 cylinder with debris and coolant in the cylinder indicating catastrophic engine failure. I informed them that I had the timing belt changed several months earlier. They noted that the repairs would start at $2000 to rebuild the one cylinder and could run much higher if further damage was found. ######I had the car towed to my garage in Denver, they took the engine apart and noted that while the belt had slipped, causing the loss of compression, there was NO DAMAGE and NO DEBRIS found in the cylinders. My garage replaced the belt and tensioner for free and my car is driving perfectly. ######Shame on Aspen Auto for their dishonest business practices. Do NOT take your car to Aspen Auto Service. I am filing a complaint with the BBB over this issue. Their blantant disregard for customer service is dispicable.
