I brought in a new watch that I had ordered online to get the clasp adjusted. Jim was able to make the adjustment in just a few short minutes and didn't even charge me for it. Everything about this store says good ole fashion family business. If I ever need a watch repair down the road, I'll bring it to Jim at Father Time. Very cool selection of antique timepieces as well.

Excellent selection of fine vintage watches. They do restoration and service work as well. Thus far I've purchased two watches from them that are both horologically correct and run great. I've also had a valuable vintage chronograph overhauled there recently and am very pleased. They are responsive and knowledgeable. Are they the cheapest? No. But if you own vintage watches you owe it to yourself to check them out. You get what you pay for. Their passion for the business and love of clocks and watches is very evident.

Can't complain at all. They took in my aunt's clock and had it working again quickly. Great customer service and could tell they put pride in every job. This clock is really special to our entire family and so glad to have it working again.

If you cherish your watches, this is the place to go. I have been coming to Father Time for more than 25 years. I initially came to have my great aunt's Art Deco watch cleaned and restored. They did a beautiful job! I have had several other vintage watches, including a pocket watch restored here as well. I know that my precious heirlooms will get the best care. But mostly, over the years, I come here to get batteries replaced for my many watches. They are not as valuable as my afore-mentioned pieces, however I enjoy wearing all of them. I know each one will be handled with care just as much as my heirloom watches. I wouldn't think of taking them anywhere else. These bands have turned my excellent watches into watches of distinction. I love this establishment!

Walked into FTA yesterday. It was a sunny sunday afternoon. The street was quiet and filled with laziness. My first impression of the store was that they have a lot of clocks. Upon further examination, they have quite a collection of vintage watches. I looked thru the cases and found lots of Omega, Bulova, Rolex, Longines...etc. They also had a nice collection of vintage poket watches like Illinois, Elgin, Halmilton, Waltham...etc. These watches were all serviced.

The person helping us was very knowledgeble and friendly. I can see myself coming back just to chat about watches. They do a bulk of business in watch repair. The pricing on the watches were fair. Not sure about the repair cost.

I went to a military history expo in Louisville, KY one weekend and was intent on buying a WWII German watch. When I finally found a broken Helvetia pocket watch conversion I liked I called the shop and the owner, Jim, gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to text him some pics. He gave me his opinion and warned me it could cost a few bucks to restore but that I wouldn't get hurt or be sorry.

I am most pleased with the restoration they did. He was right, it was a little costly BUT he stayed within his estimate and YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

The watch is in great shape now and I have a graph to prove it's ticking along like it should instead of the one they gave me when they tested it on the machine when I first brought the watch in. Before the restoration the dots looked like ants at a picnic, they were EVERYWHERE and the watch was not keeping time. Now it is running as good as the day it was made 80 years ago.

These guys are running a reputable and trustworthy business and I thank them for their service. I am proud that I brought a piece of history back to life and that alone was worth the price of the restore, the fact that it looks awesome on my wrist is an added bonus and now I have an heirloom I can pass down within my family for generations.

If you have something you really care about fixing these are your guys! Money is like time - it's always there and it's always slipping away but the memories it can create make it all worthwhile.

A memorable experience and I will be back!

Thanks for everything!

I read some of these reviews.....and I don't know what they are talking about! I have done business here for years. Yep, they are expensive! Find somebody that can do what they do though! Walk in ...look around at the merchandise and you can see the quality of their work. They didn't last this long by doing poor work! I have a substantial collection of timepieces.....from watches to grandfather clocks. They have serviced all of them. They come to my house when I'm not there ...the doorman lets them in.....never had any problem! They are professional .......I trust them completely

Timepieces are their strength - an amazing assortment of old watches and clocks in wonderful condition. The ticking when you walk in the front door is intense, lovely, and magical. They also have lots of unique and beautiful furniture, all in excellent condition. Expensive, but worth it if you can afford it. I can't, so I have never shopped here, but I go just to look at the pretty furniture and listen to the clocks. The people are also extra nice.

I have known the owners Jim and Chandra Reynolds and their manager Chuck Atkins since 2009. I have purchased numerous vintage wrist timepieces from them, each one with a different style for occasions. I have been extremely satisfied with their service, the time they take to assist all customers, and the repairs and upgrades done to my older clocks. John is one of their finest watchmakers and has cleaned many of my existing watches. John took my Dad's 1949 Hammond electric desk clock and converted it to a quartz movement with sweep second hand. No one understands how it works like it did without a power cord. They stand behind all of their work. Father Time is the original "green - ECO-friendly" timepiece store. Go and buy a mechanical timepiece - it will last beyond your lifetime.
