Several years ago I lost my first collie, Rosie, to a brain tumor (not an L&L collie). It took me 2 years of searching and visiting kennels in PA, NY, OH and MD to find the right breeder. It was L&L Kennels in Zelienople, PA. I visited there several times and came away convinced I had found my dogs. It was not just that when I was there I was surrounded by the happiest, healthiest dogs I had ever met, but it was Lady that convinced me. Lady was a beautiful, sable champion herder who had suffered a spinal stroke- a quadriplegic. The Vet told Heather and Ronnie there was no hope and to put her down. Heather said "no way" and rehabilitated her herself back to 3 good legs. There she was hopping about the farm with her sibs and mom and dad.
I will never buy a dog or house my beautiful Doogan and Lily-Rose with anyone else. Ever.
The Lusters are just the best and anyone who says or writes differently or that $20 dollars a night is too much are just plain wrong.

Absolute best place to leave your dog. Ronnie and Heather are two super cool folks to deal with, and they are extremely knowledgeable about dogs in general, specific breeds needs, medical and special needs - just too much it boggles the mind.

What a wonderful place! We had our 8 month old lab stay here for our 10-day vacation. We chose to pay the extra for walking her daily. We also added on a bath. She came out of the kennel and was pulling to go back in the door. She didnt want to leave!! They have a fenced-in area for the dogs to run. She slept for two days when she got home. I'll have no guilt taking her to L & L for our next vacation.

I used to like this kennel. However, when I go away, I am usually away for 10 days to 2 weeks. This becomes very expensive at $20.00/night but I pay it anyway. ($16.00/night is only for your pet to sit in a pen all day with absolutely no attention. This last time I was about 15 minutes late picking up my dog because I misread the pick up times. My fault of course & I apologized profusely. The man was all smiles when I picked up the dog because he tacked on a $10.00 late fee on top of the over $200.00 I paid him plus $50.00 in advance. Really?? After all the money I have paid this place!! I will NEVER use this place again and I will tell everyone I know as well.
