It is an incredible place to stay. It has a large stone wall around the resort and you have to pass through a manned gate to get in. Once you enter it is beautifully landscaped with wide paved roads. The sites are the largest (41' x 105') we have found in 9 years, with gravel to park your RV on and a cement pad beside. There are two pools and 2 hot tubs. One pool is for doing laps, the other is for relaxing. There is a good variety of crafts and activities offered during peak season. There is a library, a card's room, a ball room, a gym with massage parlor, a billiard's room, tennis courts, putting green, volley ball court, huge shuffle board courts with adjacent seating, large shower building, adequate laundry and a chapel. One feels secure here. The streets are well lit at night. Security drives around frequently. So it feels very secure. It is very dog friendly. There are 4 large dog parks. One is fenced for small dogs. Another is fenced for large dogs. There are 400+ spaces, some of which are owned by residents. In the peak season there are weekly entertainment events, such as the Oakridge Boys, the Texas Tenors, the Herman Hermits, Gordon Lightfoot - all for a very reasonable price. On Saturdays they provide a gathering around the pool with free drinks (beer), hamburger and chips for under $5.00 and there is entertainment while that is going on. I really cannot think of anything negative to say about this place, other than the price is higher than most, but well worth it.
