Excellent Work - Complete Satisfaction! We called Jerry Herbert because he is local, has been in business for several years and had excellent "word of mouth" references. We needed a complete re-roof with removal of the old roof. Jerry was friendly and professional. He provided an estimate and schedule for completion of the job. The crew showed up on schedule and were courteous, professional and did a workmanlike job. We were very pleased with the final result

I called this company after needing a complete reroof on an old home in Redlands that had been in our family for years and I had just taken over the care for. I was concerned because the house is very old, in the historic district, and has complicated angles, steep inclines and a very specific style and taste. The secretary took my info and within a few hours the owner, Jerry, called me to set up a free estimate. He was thorough, friendly and professional when he arrived (on time, unlike the other contractors I had called for estimates!) I liked him right away because he was a straight shooter and gave me direct info and quotes. His pricing was completely fair and fell into the low middle range of all the estimates we had gotten He was not the lowest quote but we went with him because he was knowledgable and honest and we could not have been more pleased we did. He took the time to choose the correct style and color of the tile we wanted and we could tell he had years of experience in the business and knew exactly what he was talking about. He was true to his word on the estimate and timeline and actually finished a day and a half earlier than expected. Jerry came by the house several times during the work to check quality and progress himself. His employees were polite and considerate and cleaned the yard and area completely when done. Jerry was at the house on the last day and noticed our back, detached garage which hasn't been in use for decades was covered in vines that extended up into the rain gutters and under the eaves. Since this can cause damage long term, he took it upon himself to climb up and remove all the vines from too of garage, fix the vents on roof and clean out all the gutters all the way around the garage despite it being super hot that day and it taking over an hour! And this was on the old garage that he hadn't even re-roofed or even been asked to estimate!! It was so thoughtful and totally beyond what was required of him! Needless to say, I was impressed that he went out of his way to make sure our roofing woes were gone and he was so kind and helpful. The process was worth the extra buck or two because the work was impeccable. On a big home investment like a roof, that we need to last a very long time, I am very glad we chose Jerry. His company is a small family business and I don't think you can find that kind of work and care in many contractors these days. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing work done on their home! I'm not sure what the other reviewer's situation was but I'm guessing if there had been a big rain, they were probably very busy. That or she might have been new? Whatever the case, the woman in the office I spoke to was very sweet and service was prompt. I feel certain that with this specific type of job, another company could not have done better for the price. All around complete satisfaction!

Herbert Roofing has been a local business of choice for us, so we called them first thing Monday after a big rain. However, their work ethic did not include a professional courtesy with setting up an appt for us as promised by Monday night; I called again Tuesday. Wednesday, three days later, I finally get a person on the phone again, and the lady says I'm sorry we're just not going to be able to get out there until next week. Well, I explained to her that she should have called me, because you promised to call me back Monday and I haven't heard from you...and I've left messages on your answering machine. I could have started calling other roofers before it rains Friday as the weather is predicting...giving me only two more days to find a roofer. I believe a business should respond...as promised!... she gave me the impression that she was committed to helping us and left us hanging.
