Terrible experience

I don't have enough space in this box to write a complete review. I had my engine rebuilt by the machine shop. It took them 2 weeks longer than they said it would. I installed the engine in my truck and it knocked like crazy. I towed it at my expense back to their shop. they had it for another week. When I got my truck back, the engine was still noisy, they said it would go away after the break in period. It did not go away. I took it back again and they said they would replace the lifters. They had it for another week. When I picked the truck up again, the engine was still noisy, I could tell they did nothing but replace the oil to try and quiet the engine. I was pissed. I paid 4,000 for that custom rebuild and my engine sounded like crap. The noise kept getting progressively worse. I brought the truck in multiple times and they told me each time that the noise was normal. Well now the noise is a knock! I called them back and they said I have to pull the engine before they do any work on it. I can't believe it. they are complete jerks when you try and talk to them especially the guy at the front desk in the automotive repair part of the building. I can tell that they are just trying to screw me over and will not admit to their mistakes or take responsibility. Oh yeah, I got my i pod stolen one of the times they had my truck, i forgot about in the glove compartment when i dropped it off, now its gone and nobody their has seen it. Unbelievable. The absolute worst experience i have ever had with a company. F ing nightmare!

Mike C had us build an engine for him. Cam blanks were on national back order so it took 2 weeks longer to get one and have it custom ground. He had his friend install the engine and somehow a washer was dropped into the engine. Why they did not stop the engine is beyond us. By the time we were able to look at the engine it had flattened to a small tick noise like a lifter. So we replaced the roller lifters. It still had a slight tick and we called Comp Cams. They informed us that new rollers will tick for a little while and then quite down. We passed this on to Mike. The noise didnt stop so we paid to pull the engine ourselves and found the washer imbedded into the piston. To keep our good name we repaired the engine not knowing of this posting. We spent $1500 to keep our good name even though Mike’s buddy caused the damage. As stated, we did not know of this posting and feel we were mislead until the teardown occurred. We did the right thing to error on the side of the client only to find months later that this had been written. As for his other problems, the shop next door who was re- installing the engine was broken into and several cars were broken into before the police arrived. Insurance handled it.
