If I could give him a zero star I would! Like other have said, he has crackhead come into your home and tear things apart and never finish. Ken Hall should be a used car salesman because he's a con man not a contractor! He bid my job for $12800 and asked for $2800 down. I asked why he didn't require half down to get materials and collect the other half when the job was completed. His reply was "That's not how I operate". That was the first red flag! He hired a Hispanic Roofer by trade to put up the drywall (which was not done very well) second red flag! Mr. Hall was never around much except to ask for more money! 3rd Red flag! He was given another $1000 to buy primer and paint on a Monday, said he would drop it off for his painter on Tuesday. Never came back until Friday with a sample jar of the paint that I had already picked out to see if that was the color I picked! Of course it was cuz I told you I wanted that color. He then asked for more money and I said he's not getting another dime until I see some real progress done! 3 weeks in (his original word was 2 weeks start to finish) and all I have is a new layer of drywall done and nothing else. He was also suppose to do a stone veneer on my fireplace (which he said he ordered on day 1) he never ordered it and kept stringing me along and trying to get more money for nothing. He doesn't pay his so called sub contractors and buys the cheapest material he can get, does as little work as needed to make you think things are moving along but it's a SCAM! I'll be taking him to court. DO NOT HIRE THIS CLOWN FOR ANYTHING EVER! HE HAS NO CLUE ON HOW TO REMODEL OR BUILD ANYTHING! I wouldn't ask him to build a dog house for a dog I hated! I've done more work myself in 3 days than he has done in 3 weeks! DO NOT CALL HIM!!!!!!

Mr Hall (Handi Helper) did an amazing job on transforming our 1/2 bath and laundry room into a spacious, luxurious, full bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, all amenities and even new access from our master bedroom!
He moved our laundry room into an updated, modern, laundry closet down the hall way!
Mr. Hall even did a couple of jobs around my home that needed to be executed for some time now, including replacing my basement stairwell.
Handi Helper's construction was polite, professional, covid friendly and completed the project in a timely fashion.
He professionally presented a detailed itemized spreadsheet of the work he was hired to complete at the very beginning of the project.
My family and I are happy campers!! Mr. Hall gets our recommendation hands down!!

We hired this company to do a wooden ramp being a disabled and to repair a broken chimney. He asked for a down payment and we issued a check for the materials. Without starting the job he ask for another payment for the additional materials. He began the process. Finally be asked for a third payment and we issued a check.

He promised to be back the next day and complete the project but never showed up to this day.

Simply put we fell for a scammer. Records shows plenty of complaints.

Do not trust this person ever. He is a scam artist.

no comment well write after the work is complete. The owner is hard to get in touch with. still trying to get my work finished.

Ken did a great job finishing our basement. He also added French doors for us and has taken care of minor issues when they arise. We highly recommend him.

Avoid this contractor at all cost. Ken Hall has a documented record of not paying his workers and subcontracting out the work and not paying the subcontractors. If he doesn't pay the subcontractor that he outsourced the gutter work to for my house, I may have to sue him to keep the subcontractor from placing a lien on my house. This man is unethical and lacks integrity. It's very unfortunate too. Philosophically, I strive to support Black business owners, but Ken Hall of Handi Helper really disappointed me with his greed.
