I WOULD NEVER CHANCE BOOKING A SPECIAL EVENT AT THIS CLUB!
My family has had 4 generations of members. I had booked your hall last year (2017) for my daughters graduation party this summer (2018). I was informed, less than 2 months before her party, that the price per plate was going up almost $3 more per plate, and if I didn’t like it I could go elsewhere! Your business manager informed us that the price could continue to go up because the contract states “prices subject to change without notice.” No concern that most halls book up a year in advance, and I now had less than 2 months to find another location, or deal with the price hike. My husband was told the center had to make up for lost money over the years, and the price hike would help with that. If this is how St. George Croatian Center treats its members, I would rather not be a member. This saddens me because I have very fond memories, with family, at your lodge. Hopefully you will treat new members with better service and attitudes, since you have lost this member.
