Dr. John Matta, at Refresh Dental - Boardman, 99 Debartolo Place, and his super staff (Lisa, Faith, Tammy, and Mary) are excellent, welcoming, and so friendly. I suffered with an extremely painful, badly cracked and infected tooth cut down to the jaw bone which needed extracted ASAP. Since my dentist had moved out of town, I had to search for a new dentist who would see me as soon as possible and also accept my insurance. Fortunately, I came across Dr. John Matta, and even though I had never been to this dentist office, the staff at Refresh Dental were caring and compassionate about my situation and scheduled me to see Dr. Matta immediately. When I first walked into the office I was very nervous but I instantly felt at ease because everyone greeted me with smile and such kindness and the office is spotless and inviting. Surprisingly before proceeding, Dr. Matta wanted to tell me a little about himself, describing his dental expertise and credentials, as well as his family. He listened carefully to all my questions and concerns and took the time to examine me carefully and to explain all planned procedures and options that would be necessary. He is very friendly and caring and his professionalism and candor put me at ease and made me feel confident in him as a Dental Surgeon. He is an excellent Dentist and I hardly felt any pain during my tooth extraction and bone graft. I have other procedures that need to be done soon - 2 crowns and a custom-fitted nightly mouth apparatus for sleeping, and I am very confident that they will be done with ease and just as successful as my first procedure. I highly recommend Dr. John Matta for all your dental needs at Refresh Dental in Boardman, and I'm confident that you will, too! Thank you Dr. Matta and Staff!

These comments pertain to the facility at 99 Debartolo Pl., Boardman, OH, where I had taken my elderly mom for an initial examination as a new patient. We were seen first by two very personable and caring hygienist staff, Faith and Kim, for xrays, initial evaluation and documentation, prior to being seen by the dentist, Dr. Matta, for further evaluation and treatment advice. Dr. Matta was also very personable and responsive to all of my questions concerning the best care for my mom. We left the office with the knowledge I wanted for treatment options, as may become needed in the future. Meanwhile, it's comforting to know that I have my mom established as a patient in a nearby practice staffed by such nice people, including the personable and helpful office manager, Mary.
