AGNEW LAWN & GARDEN BOARDMAN - (Since 1824) and with over 175 years of business under their belts Agnew Lawn and Garden formerly Agnew Farm Equipment is intertwined with commercial tractors, commercial and residential lawn and garden equipment and maintenance. Today the business is still being operated by the Agnew family, perhaps one of the oldest family run businesses in the State ofOhio. Over the years the store's inventory and display items have evolved from steam-powered equipment to diesel and gasoline powered farm machinery. The local business became incorporated in 1939 and has been family operated since its inception. With Boardman Township 's changing face from farming community to bedroom community and shopping center the local company then turned to the lawn and garden industry. Today the primary business consists of supplying and servicing residential lawn and garden equipment; the commercial mowing industry and users of compact diesel equipment. The business is located at 7700 Market Street, Boardman. In 1996 the family constructed a new facility with 15000 sf of space for its show room, parts department, service area and warehouse. The business operates with both full time inside and outbound sales staff. It maintains a well-stocked parts department employing 2 full time staff members. A service manager, and five full-time mechanics two of which maintain manufactures certifications staff the service department.

Don't get your equipment serviced here. We have been waiting since the first week of September for anyone to even have any idea of what is wrong with our tractor. Still haven't received it back we are now going into the 2nd week of October. Can't get through on the phone. Rude Employees. Get calls from employees that complains about how they are treated by coworkers. No on e even knows what is going on at any time. Beware this is not a professional company at all!!!

This place is a joke. Horrible customer sevice, and their repair shop is just as bad.
It took them 3 weeks to even look at my mower that I brought in for a governor repair, so they try to sell me a new engine. Useless know nothings.
Please consider this review before going here.

I wouldn't buy anything from this place again. They sold my fiance a used zero turn mower. He test drove it and it seemed to be working fine. They told him it was a 2012 and then after he paid and they gave him the manuals for it the manuals showed it was a 2007. He still decided to keep it and after several uses it stopped working completely. When he called about it they wanted $30 to look at it then give him an estimate and were extremely condescending on the phone. What a joke. The owner is a liar and scam artist who basically sold us a lemon. I believe in supporting small businesses but places like this who lie to and cheat their customers disgust me!!

Without question or hesitation, I can tell you that my experience w/ Agnew Lawn & Tractor was one of the worst experiences that I’ve had in my entire 69 years of existence. My advice to anyone contemplating going to Agnew’s for service work is to stay as far clear of that zone as you possibly can.

I carefully documented the full extent of my Agnew experience and sent my concerns to the business owner, Mr. John Agnew on July 23. You can read the letter at the link below. After waiting one week of to see if I might get a professional and empathetic response (and, of course, receiving nothing), I posted this letter for anyone to read and began, in earnest, to post a link to the letter on available media channels specializing in business/customer service reviews.

Need help w/ your lawn equipment? Thinking Agnew might be a solution?

Think again.

Agnews lawn equipment very has bad policy. they wouldn't return the piston rings but that didn't match my motor with out making me pay a restocking fee for the parts that did not fit.

There was 0 error on my part... I showed pictures of the motor info plate, I know for the fact that the motor was never opened up before. the error could only lie on agnews or Briggs and stratton.... For a company in sales they do not treat customers fairly due to a pure greed policy. I will never go there again... and I refuse to pay a fee for something I did not screw up.

Agnew Farm Equipment

Just read a review by someone who doesn't seem to be all there. I've dealt with Agnews for years, along with many, many friends and we've always gotten great deals, with friendly service. I notice that they have always won the consumers best of the best award.
