Anytime one of our "fur-kids" (cats) has an afterhours emergency we take them to AEC. AEC was recommended to us by our regular Vets. Dr. Panuska, Dr. Stiff and staff are professional, caring, personable, and knowledgably. We tell everyone about their practice and the excellent care they provide. You will love their new beautiful facility!

The doctors at AEC are the best! They're compassonant and caring - great "bedside" manners. Their prime purpose is to give our "children" the best possible care. You'll have peace of mind knowing your pets are getting this top notich attention at the AEC.

Please be aware that they have moved to 2025 George Washington Memorial Hwy in Yorktown.

Great experience. I thought it was nice that they did not insist on blood work before they even saw my cat like other emergency practices. Very pleased, will be my first choice now for after hours care.

Excellent-- professional, knowledgable, trustworthy, skilled, highest integrity. When you need an emergency vet in Yorktown, you will be pleased to take your pets here. I am also a vet, moved to this area with the military and have come to know and trust these fellows.

Outstanding practice, location, and easy to access and immediate care. Dr Stiff was thorough and kept costs to only what was needed and provided excellent care. Will never go anywhere else!

I cannot say enough positive words about Dr. Stiff and Dr. Paluska!! I have had to bring a few of my pets to see them and I have never felt such a complete sense of relief knowing my cats and dog were in such capable and compassionate hands. This is the best Emergency Animal Care facility to be found~~ I have had dogs for years and whenever I need after hours care I find Dr. Stiff and his staff very professional and caring! You can really tell they love what they do, and they do it so well! I actually have friends that have driven from Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and North Carolina to this clinic because they wanted the best care they could get for their beloved pet!!! What a delight to finally have a choice of the type of care available for my pets after hours! Staff was genuinely concerned and helped move quickly to see that my dogs needs were accomplished. And the visit ended with a pleasant surprise: fees for needed services were much lower than expected. I would recommend this experienced staff to anyone needing vet help after hours!

I have several animals in my household who enjoy rough housing with each other on a daily basis. Well a couple of weeks ago things got a little out of hand and one of the dogs ended up with a very large laceration on her side. I contacted the Animal Emergency Center and the receptionist was able to assist me with excellent manner and gave excellent directions. This helped me greatly in this stressful time and calmed my nerves greatly. I arrived at the clinic and the staff immediatley checked out my Sandy baby to make sure she was alright and then asked me to fill out paper work. As soon as I handed them the paper work in a matter of minutes I was in a room the vitals had been taken and the Dr. was in the room attending to my dog. The service was great and with in a few hours my Sandy was all sewn up and ready to be picked up. She recovered great and is very Thankful to Dr. Stiff and Dr. Panuska and the staff at the Animal Emergency Center. Thankyou from Sandy and her owner

Dr. Stiff is awesome; he really understands and knows how to care for pets. I also like that my wait time was short. The staff was really nice. I'm so happy to have a choice for my pets.
