Fantastic bakery, my favorite in PA and MD area. The service is always exceptional, friendly and enthusiastic. The food is fresh, flavorful and the presentation is second to none. Desserts are rich, not over-sweetened. Janina's is our favorite little gem in York. We take out friends and family there whenever they are in town, and they all love it and look forward to a visit to our local bakery/cafe.

I have never had anything but a positive experience at this bakery. The owner has always been helpful and has done many special orders for me. The desserts are so.o.o beautiful that each creation deserves to have it's picture taken - gorgeous edible flowers and decorations which represent hours and hours of work on her part. The truly wonderful part is the experience of actually eating each creation despite one's hesitation to destroy the work of art by cutting it! Each cake is exquisite, from the fruit selections to the extremely decadent chocolate varieties. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone who loves to serve something very special and unique to their family and friends. We are lucky to have such a gifted baker in York, PA. and I am one of her devoted customers.

I have never have Had such a bad experience with a bakery. But this was a terrible experience. I gave the owner of the bakery my daughters name to put on her cake unwrought and failed to put the correct name. Not even close. So I called her back but the store was already closed. I got a call a few days later from owner saying it was my fault. But I am not not the one making the cake. She is the bakery not me. She has no customer service skills. I was so embassed for my daughters party since her name was not correct on cake. The owner did not care at at all. When I asked for a small amount of credit for the cake she said she gave my husband a free cookie do she die not owe me anything. I was not happy with her response at all. Also thst she gave a discount for the cake. I never asked for one. Thats on her. I WILL NEVEr use her again. It was a big let down. Its hard to find good service out there. She was a ripe off since my cake was over $100.00 and could get my daughters name spelled right when she jyst had to look at the paper. No care in the world!!!!! Disgusting. Bi hope i can defer a least ine custmire away from her. I always read people comments about their experience with companies. Bc if it happen once it can happen again!!!I don't think she will be in business that long.
