Begun in 1971, Friends of the Yorba Linda Public Library has a collection of books in various genres, including fiction, nonfiction, bestsellers and children s books. Apart from offering a wide range of reading materials on print, the library provides e-books and audio books. Friends of the Yorba Linda Public Library has memberships with a number of organizations, such as the California Library Association, Friends of California Libraries and Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce. It has received Certificate of Recognition from California State Senate in 1997; Certificate of Recognition from California State Assembly - 1997; and Good Neighbor Award From Bank of America for Outstanding Community Service - 1997, to name a few.
