Horrible customer service!!! It's apparent the girls who work behind the counter are racist againt white people. Nothing but problems at this place. Run away!

Think twice about this place, they pulled my moms teeth and left a fifty cent piece hole at the top of her mouth that turned into a hugeee infection, which left THOUSANDS of dollars in pallet repair and reoccurring infections. I lost my job about 14 months ago and was forced to apply for Medicaid, which I HAD/HAVE TO GO TO THIS PLACE, I have needed a tooth pulled for 8 months now and every time they put me on a antibiotic/pain meds from it developing into a huge abscess surrounding my bad tooth, they call and cancel, I have heard the doctor died or family emergency, to fired opened up there own practice, this place is a joke. I have had the infection go to my heart twice because of there lack of care, but maybe they will keep my next appointment? ?

Also, what everyone is saying about front desk, I overheard people calling to be seen by the same doctor, if the front desk doesn't like you or whatever there problem is, they will tell you they dont have a appointment for 3 months! Then tell someone they have a appointment open for next week. Totally disgusted by the way this place operates/treats people... can't wait to have insurance back so I won't feel like I'm being treated like craps because of my insurance I have... someone said its like a circus, its really more like a freak-show with no sign of intelligent people ANY WHERE!

as a former employee, I know all that goes on in that place. that's no dentist office...there is no education through that place, no one cares about REAL dentistry.....its like a circus in that place

I went to Destiny Dental for a cleaning. The billing and service was as expected for the cleaning. While there they recommended that I purchase a Night Guard from them due to me grinding my teeth at night. The first question I asked them was if it was covered under my insurance, and they assured me it was after checking. We scheduled an appointment for a fitting. I had the fitting done and waited for the Night Guard to come in so I could use it. I was contacted several days later by Destiny Dental stating that the fitted mold was damaged and that I needed to come in again for a second fitting. We scheduled a second fitting, requiring me to take time off of work. After the second fitting I was contacted again, this time being informed that there were air bubbles in the mold and it could not be used. A third appointment was made, with time off of work for me again, and a third fitting made. This time they used a higher quality molding product to ensure there would not be a fourth visit for a fitting. I was told by the dentist that I would also receive an upgrade in the quality of the Night Guard due to the inconveniences. When the Night Guard came in it was not the upgraded version. Despite this I paid in full at the time of the Night Guard pickup minus what I was told the insurance was going to cover. It has been about a year later and they have contacted me saying I owe $205.80 due to my insurance company at that time not covering their end. I contacted the insurance company and was informed that they do not now, nor did they ever, cover Night Guard's due to grinding...only after gum surgery which I did not have.Destiny Dental wrongly informed me of my insurance company's coverage on their product, failed to compensate me for my inconveniences, and took an exorbitant amount of time to inform me of the billing discrepancy. Their billing department, after numerous attempts , does not answer their phone.

I have never been to a dentist office that was such a slum!! The floor was wet from overflowing toilets!! Really?! The manager was rude and dressed like she should be standing outside on the corner. She and the rest of office staff stood around gossiping about another employee. I was disgusted to be able to hear them. They had rap music coming from an iPhone!!! It was like there were no patients there at all!!! So unprofessional!! The only good thing was the girl who cleaned my teeth. Ashlee. Very thorough friendly informative and talked to me instead of at me. Still will not consider going back to that dump!

This is by far the worst place to go to! Front desk and manager very rude, dressed very unprofessional. The place stunk. The floor was all wet from the Toilet overflowing, it was crazy! No one was doing anything about it.... After all that and the interaction with the front desk and manager, I just left! Someone needs to shut these people down!

I just left there completely disgusted! Staff at the reception desk were very unprofessionally dressed and rude. All they did was sit there gossiping amongst themselves. I called ahead of time asking if they do root canals on molars for my 14 year old daughter and they told me yes and to bring her xray in from her regular dentist only to find out after waiting an hour, they were only doing an exam? She has a dentist for that and only needed root canal as to which they replied they can't do a root canal and to contact Grand Valley Dental. Really? Waiting room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in weeks. To top things off they had a hygienist cleaning the bathroom! I really hope she washed her hands as we just walked out. I will never go back there even if you paid me.

This is the worst place I have ever been to. The front receptionist was completely rude and incompetet. She had no grooming skills she looked greasy and her hair was long and unkempt. She was dressed like a street walker. With much reluctance I still decided to go back and see the dentist which was not any better. The dental assistant did not know how to take xrays and was also very rude. When the dentist finally came in to see me he complained about his previous patient being "annoying" to the dental assistant right in front of me! To sum up my whole visit I would rather never see a dentist again if I had to go back there!!!

This is the most disgusting dental office I have ever been to in my life. The staff is beyond rude especially the front office staff. These are girls with NO people skills and more concern about their hair and talking about people then actually working and helping patients. The so called office manager is completely rude and off putting, the way she talks about patients is disgusting I heard her call someone a "crazy patient"! Who does that?! I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. I went in to get an exam, not to listen to the gossip of the office. Needless to say I will never be returning to this office or any other office affiliated with them again!

Just left there. First off when we go in for an emergency tooth extraction bc our dentist is closed on fridays they saif they only do walk-ins fir emergencys. Left us very confused with the her demeanor while saying it bc she said it as if they couldn't help bc my husband did not appear to be in extreme pain. Then we gave them the erong insurance card the first time bc iur employer has changed dental insurance there times this year and when we went back to give her the right card she says "well its just really frustrating".really, this is literally what you get paid to do. You think it is frustrating for you, we have had change dentists bc our employer changes insurance so much. Dont complain about something like that. Overall i would not recommend it except for the brand new tvs, which are a coax to make it seem like a reputable place. I have a pretty good feeling they all went to fake schools like Everest institute where they did no real schooling.

It took forever to find a place in Michigan that accepts Medicaid since most doctors in the state of Michigan do not accept Medicaid besides Cherry st. which is impossible to get into and when you finally do, you wait hrs to actually get seen, so when I came across Destiny Dental I was floored! First time visit was on 9/16/13 I scheduled myself along with my two kids @ 3pm it was pretty busy but we were greeted with smiles the receptionists were lovely and informing and handed me the paperwork and let me know once I was done they could put in our information and be called in. Nice waiting room, movies were playing and the children had toys to play with in their kid section, it was very festive in the office they had fall/Halloween decorations up which made it fun and seem as if they care about the place. My children were seen first by Dr. White and she was very friendly and gentle with them the assistant was very helpful and made my kids laugh, very patient after they were handed goodie bags. After I was seen by their Hygienist my kids would not stay still since they are kids after all so the receptionists offered to watch them in the front while I was being seen and shortly Dr. Mathew came into the room and did my exam and explained to me what was going on and what treatment she recommended. They provided me with different payment plans since Medicaid doesn't cover certain things and they seemed to be helpful and had empathy of the fact that my income is not very high especially being a single mom. After I was walked out to the front where someone seems to be designated in scheduling next appointments, they were accommodating to my schedule. I am grateful that these doctors are willing to accept mine and my children's insurance knowing the reimbursement is so low and to still have the decency to treat us equal to their other patients that have a private insurance, I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and will continue to be a patient here. It is a shame that some people can not be grateful for the work this office is providing the community.

I would definitely give this place 5 stars! It is very difficult to find an office in West Michigan that accepts Medicaid and Destiny Dental is one of the few that takes Medicaid along with a variety of other insurances. The front desk was very welcoming and helpful and has answered all my questions that I had. The dentists knew exactly what they were doing and were friendly as well. They made my kids feel very comfortable and were able to get the treatment done that was needed. I would recommend this dentist office to friends and family!

Our son had an appointment 6 weeks ago, every time we schedule it, they call us the day before and reschedule it. We can not keep putting this off. He needs work done. This is not just for a simple cleaning!! And they keep pushing us off. There was a serious situation that happened about a month ago when one of the Doctors passed away suddenly, and for that reason we were very understanding. But now 4 weeks later and they continue to push my son to the back burner! We have now rescheduled my sons appointment 5 times!!!! NO MORE, We have called a new dentists office, and will be moving our business else were. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!

this is the worst experience I have ever had at the dentist! I will never return to this trashy place. the girls at the front desk are snobby and rude with major attitude. since it is a dentist that accepts Medicaid, they tell you that you have a bunch of problems to get as much money out of you as they can. they never showed me any x rays. just said they were going to do a filling and then started drilling. I went in to get a cracked tooth repaired. they didn't fix the cracked tooth. instead they drilled out a filling that I just had done a year prior by a premier dentist! they wedged this block in my mouth to keep me from closing my mouth and it was in for an hour! my whole jaw kills! they never asked if I was ok or if I was uncomfortable. Every time the dentist asked the assistant for a tool she didn't know what he was talking about. what kind of people do we have working here! do they even have a degree!?....I left the place, got into my car, and broke down into tears!

This is a pathetic excuse for a dental office. Very unprofessional. Wouldn't surprise me if Medicaid fraud is going on in that office.

So surprised this place was so great since I have Medicaid. Very nice facility. My whole family went and the service was great. Kid friendly and great dentists. I am very thankful for this place because the other few who take Medicaid are a nightmare and never have appointments.

went to destiny dental so i could get dentures,it took them 5 months to approve me for this service.went in got only half of my top teeth pulled and went in again to see if there was any infection,i was then informed that they may not be continuing this service.no one ever called me to say that they would be canceling my appointment for this reason.i did get a call confirming my appointment.went in there and the doc gives me the same story about how he doent feel right extacting my teeth if he doesnt know if they are gonna finish.he tells me he will call me hopefully with a referal.that is the right thing to do right.for right now im left looking like a hillbilly...and no one down at destiny dental is telling me how they are going to make this right for me or the others in my same position.how can they start a job and then not finish it

The service was great. The recieptionist where very friendly and greeted me with a smile, and the Dr. was nice and explained every thing that was going on with my Child. I would recommend family and friends to come to this office.

This place is awful! My 15 year old was there for a simple cleaning! She was screaming in pain, asked for me and was told no and suck it up. I heard her yelling and went back there. I made him stop right then and there. I was also told that I could be back there with my 8 yr old as she has never had a filling before. I was told I could be. I came back to get the 8 yr olds filling and was told I could not be back there. The dentist was very rude and very unprofessional the way he spoke to me. I was also told that if she screams, he will carry on treatment because screaming indicates that they are wanting a parents hand not because they are in pain. "Kids are just dramatic".
