I purchased a central vacuum system from Vacuums Etc. last year. I have been really happy with the system and the attention that was given to make sure that the systems outlets were in the exact places that I needed to have them. Wow, the outlet in the garage was a great recommendation, no more dragging my canister outside to clean my car. Mr Black and his staff give me their full attention and have gone out of their way to provide all the support I needed. I give this business and staff FIVE STARS!!

As a patron of many businesses in the Canton and Woodstock area, I'd have to say that Vacuums Etc has the worst business ethics I've ever encountered.

I first called to see if they could fix my Panasonic vacuum and the owners' son was very polite and welcoming and was confident the machine could be fixed quickly and inexpensively, within an hour or so. After making the drive down to Woodstock, part in hand, the gentleman told me that they needed a $10 deposit to go toward repairs. I thought, that was strange, why didn't the owners son mention this, but, OK- paid the $10 and went on my way. Got a call about 10 minutes later to learn that they don't have the parts in stock to fix it and they don't service that machine because the parts don't interchange, but they could order the part. Oh, and the $10 was for them to "look at it" and non refundable. WHAT??? They explained that I could also apply the money towards bags, belts, etc. WOW, but OK...

I waited to get a price on the replacement part, after they explained I could put the $10 towards the replacement. OK, so they gave me a price of $25- I went ahead and told them to order it. Just before closing that day, they told me that, no it was now $45 that they had made a mistake on the price- all this after they had the part in hand with the model number and everything they needed.... Can you say incompetent...

Anyhow, never got my $10 back from Vacuums Etc. and got the part fixed at an honest place of business- Vacuum World. I need to mention they fixed it for free! It was just a matter of lube on the bearing. WOW, what a company!!

Needless to say, $10 is such a minimal price for loss of many customers for life, especially in this economy.

I'm a pretty easy going person and it takes a lot to get me riled up but I felt very uneasy about this whole experience- from the moment Chris asked me for a deposit, to the moment he doubled prices on me. What a waste of time, and in this case, $10! I will absolutely be taking my business elsewhere and telling anyone and everyone not to do business with these guys. Very nice and polite on the outside, but will do you just as dirty as the crap their trying to vacuum up.
