It's been a while, but We had the exact opposite experience with Chris. I'm actually hoping that I can get him to do a new project for me.

We went to a showroom where different contractors did their own bathroom display. If I remember correctly, there were 10-15. We were able (without any doubts in our minds) to choose the one Chris had done, and we were right! His work was so far superior to any other'. He did a 20x20 floor for us, as well, and I still get compliments on a floor that is 14 years old--looks as beautiful as the day he and his brother-in-law installed it!

Beware, this contractor is fraudulent! During our master bathroom tile project we discovered that the owner/installer has charged us for more tile than he actually ordered and picked up from a store. When we questioned him, he denied it completely blaming the tile store's CSR. He did not return the $364 difference therefore we had to stop this project in the middle of it and we are right now in the process of filing BBB complaint. Besides he is VERY pricey and again, as we found out later, he does not know how to work with sophisticated European tile which also caused us a big delay. We absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND Southern Design for your tile project!
