We don’t always eat Mexican, but when we do, Xoc Tequila Grill is always the first restaurant on our mind. They offer an extensive Mexican lunch menu that will satisfy every authentic Mexican food craving you might have. Mind you—this restaurant is so much more than tacos and breakfast burritos. If you want to break away from usual chicken and pork dishes, try their Mexican-style Camaron, which takes sautéed shrimps to a whole new level with their original chile pasilla orange marinade, grilled onions and fresh guac, all served in satisfying portions. We always order this with their veggie platter—perfect combo!

My friends in college asked me to give them drinks-treat. Pam suggested we visit XOC which was just 1.5km away and it would be tequila happy hour there. Meaning, less burden on my wallet.

Six of us went there. It was around five in the evening. Pam was right; it was tequila happy hour.
Margaritas and Sangria were selling only for six dollars!

We had Sangria and Margaritas with Taquitos. And still, I had a few dollars left!

The bar was beautiful. They were playing some traditional Mexican music that sounded so cheerful! Though we couldn’t understand, that really didn’t matter much because it was so uplifting and blended perfectly with the atmosphere. The bartender was very polite and jovial.

We would be back soon again!

Always leave room for dessert when visiting Xoc Tequila Grill! They have one of the most delectable Mexican desserts menu you will ever find, offering absolute Mexican favorites. Our personal choice has always been their crepe plate, which consists of perfectly thin crepes drizzled with the best tasting caramel sauce and topped with delicious chopped pecans. If this doesn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, they also offer a hearty dessert platter—and it has everything you could ever wish for in a Mexican dessert (ranging from crepes to flans all the way to churros). If you want a complete Mexican meal experience, Xoc Grill is a definite must-try.

Xoc Tequila Grill’s tacos and tequila bar is an experience in and of itself. If you’re tired of fast food tacos and burritos, Xoc’s taco bar is a breath of fresh air, offering you the best and most unique combinations of grilled meats, sautéed vegetables, roasted peppers, and fresh chilis and tomatoes. Their tortillas are a major win and are truly the best cradle for your choice of meat and veggie combo. The taco bar also offers a diet-friendly option through their equally filling low carb lettuce wrap, if you want to pass on the corn tortilla. Two thumbs up for the most complete taco bar you will find in the Woodlands.

There are many reasons why we keep coming back to Xoc Tequila Grill, not the least of which is their amazing Mexican desserts menu. Our meals are always made better with their homemade dessert offerings, which the kids absolutely love. Xoc has, in my humble opinion the best version of the classic flan. It is a definite favorite, along with their churros and crepes. I was not the biggest fan of tres leches, but Xoc’s take on the traditional Mexican dessert brought upon a change of heart. Theirs is by far the best I’ve tasted—perfectly light and moist!
