Jan Vanveen did a great job in the service department! Jan was very professional and communicative while my car was in the shop. I have dealt with the other Nissan service departments/dealerships on the St. Louis side and this dealership is well worth the short drive to Illinois.

My Dad bought an F-150 here and it had an issue with the brakes/rotors. Rather than refusing to fix after the sale, he contacted to sales manager at the time, and they went ahead and replaced them at no cost on the same day. Although the truck had needed the fix, it was cool that they had no issue taking care of it. Saved him hundreds of dollars. Truck runs awesome today. I figured I'd write the review for him, since he is 61 and hates the internet! His name is Bobby.

Got an Altima from them, love it and their service. Great atmosphere, easy to deal with, and I love the car.

My Mom bought her Maxima there and she had a great experience. They went above and beyond to get her the right price.

I bought a truck there and the guy didn't know nothing about it but it wasn't a Nissan. It was a good price and nice truck. They didn't really clean it good there was dirty socks in there! The worst part is the car that they kinda forced me to trade I left my ray bans in and the next day I called him and told him, he got them out and I told him I'd be down that Friday. Friday came and I was told he no longer worked there. After trying to talk to management several times I've have had to just realize that my favorite pair of $300 sunglasses where stolen! I feel management should have tried to get my property back for me!

I love the Nissan Juke I bought, probably one of the top favorite cars I've owned. However, I don't really care for the negative energy at this dealership. I won't go into the situations dealing with service, they were eventually fixed. I would like to discuss what happened to me today. First, I spent most of my day in a chemotherapy lab getting an infusion for a chronic disease. Unfortunately, I had to take care of some GAP business at the dealership after my infusion, it was on my way home and it needed to be addressed. I was having some mixed info from my bank and the dealership on what paperwork was needed to cancel my GAP with Nissan. My loan was switched as well as the GAP to my credit union. Of course, I'm going to listen to my bank because I've been with them for 20+ years, Nissan a year and a half. I've had better customer service with my bank, I feel they are more honest and straight forward. So, I waited around for someone to help me, and I waited. No acknowledgement. I know they were busy, but there was no secretary's desk that I could go to for assistance. I finally went up to a sales rep who had been sitting at his desk. He led me to the right office to take care of the GAP. Had some questions, ran to my bank next door, my banker called the finance office at Nissan and got a voicemail. Ran back to Nissan with additional paperwork regarding to canceling my GAP, cause you see I could get it way cheaper through my credit union. Waited around again for someone to take me back to where they handle the GAP, because I just didn't want to barge in their office unannounced. Found someone again on my own, and that friendly person took me back to the office. This time I walked into the office. I got a stare down and a filthy look from some lady sitting at her cubicle. To me it was obvious she didn't like her job. I felt I should had been greeted, how are you? Can we help you with something? that kind of thing, but not the case. Another lady helped with the GAP. It was alright, but I didn't really like the energy I got walking into that negative office. I felt the people I encountered at the chemotherapy lab getting 6-8 hours of chemotherapy were much more pleasant than the working environment in that office. Really! Don't like your job find something else.

How does this place stay open? Whoever built the dealership next door is a genius, even a crappy dealership would seem like heaven compared to this company

My family and I have bought 5 vehicles from auto centers over the past year and a half and continue to service our 2 new nissans there on a regular basis. I rated them excellent across the board and they deserve it. They are great people and we have only had one issue with one of the used cars my aunt bought. The issue was addressed and the repair was made at no cost to her. Every time I am up there they are extremely busy, I guess some people may not like it but it just shows me that a ton of people think the same way I do…shop auto centers and save a bunch of money! Its definitely worth the trip to wood river!

I am not one to normally file ...

I am not one to normally file complaints but I am so outdone with how this dealership treated me once I purchased a car from them. Shortly (about 2 weeks)after I purchased my 2007 Maxima, I noticed a slight knocking noise whenever I made turns which seemed to be coming from the steering. My car is still under the 90 day bumper to bumper warranty. I brought it in with the understanding that they would take care of the problem and they also said they would give me a wheel alignment. I get a phone call from them saying that it is a problem with the struts and because it is considered a wear and tear issue that it would not be covered under the warranty. First of all, I thought bumper to bumper was exactly that. I did not purchase this car ...As Is....I did not know this car had this issue from one test drive and it wasn't something obvious that I would have noticed and I hadn't even had the car long enough to put wear and tear on the struts. If I had noticed this problem prior to making the purchase and knew that they would not take care of it under the bumper to bumper I would have never purchased this vehicle. This isn't like something obvious such as dents in the car or wear and tear on the seats that I purchased knowing that it had these issues. I had no idea or like I said I would have never made this purchase. Now no one will help me. I do not have the money it takes to correct this problem and I do not understand why they will not fix this. I am so angry and frustrated that once they made a sale they will do nothing to satisfy me as a customer and now I am stuck with this problem which in turn is going to continually cause me problems with my wheel alignment and tires. And by the way, the wheel allignment was not even done properly...it is still out of allignment. I am not a satisfied or happy customer and I will make sure that anyone I come in contact with will know of the poor service this dealership gives. I work in a company where there are over 270 people in the facility and every chance I get,I will tell them about this terrible service. I feel I have been scammed with this whole car purchase and I will be reporting this to the BBB as well as the news channels and and with any other consumer services I am able to notify. I will NEVER EVER purchase a vehicle, new or used, from this dealership again. Nor will I EVER recommend this place to anyone.

I am extremely disappointed in...

I am extremely disappointed in how unprofessional and careless the service at Auto Centers has become. My husband and I have purchased four cars from Auto Centers Nissan in the past. Our first few experiences were great, but unfortunately, we'll never set foot in that building again and will make sure our friends and loved ones don't either. A few months ago, my husband needed work on his vehicle that would be covered by our extended warranty, but even though we had a signed copy of this warranty, Auto Centers refused to honor the warranty because "it wasn't showing up in their system". It took a week of driving there nearly every day and taking off work early to meet with managers to finally resolve the issue (unfortunately, my cousin had the same issue and never got her situation resolved). Even after this, we tried to give them another chance. We went to Auto Centers in Wood River last weekend to trade in my husband's car only to discover that the car had frame damage that we didn't know about prior to purchasing the car. Once this was brought to the attention of a manager there, I was told to be happy I was getting an offer in general since no other dealerships wanted to offer me anything because of the frame damage. My husband and I will never go back to Auto Centers in Wood River. After they received our business, they weren't too concerned about keeping us as customers; not the customer service I expected. I'll be contacting You Paid For It as well to make sure that people are adequately warned about what could happen to them there.

To any potential car buyers fr...

To any potential car buyers from Auto Centers Nissan, BEWARE!. We bought a car from them that according to them had a clean Carfax but in reality it did not. Now the car is worth way less and they basically told us we are up a creek. Make sure if you are buying a car here that you realize you are just a number and once they get your money they could care less about you. Always get your own Carfax and DO NOT trust theirs. I would highly recommend any other Nissan dealership but them. Good luck keeping your same salesman. There have been 4 salesman on our account since we bought the car 2.5 years ago. Also, make sure that if they tell you the car has a Nissan warranty that it actually gets registered with Nissan. We had this car for about a 1.5 years before we had a warranty issue and found out it had no warranty. They had to give us an in house warranty because the car could not be registered with Nissan for whatever reason. They then proceeded to not give us one. Just stay away from this place. All they care about is money and they have no customer service.

I went into AutoCenters Nissan...

I went into AutoCenters Nissan to investigate a Jeep that they had on their website. Everything seemed reasonable and I had talked to one of their online representatives to get the Carfax. I told him that I would be making the 45 minute drive the next day to see the vehicle. The next day I got to the dealership, was greeted and sat down as we waited for a different salesperson. We waited for ten minutes at least. Once the sales person came he had already gotten out the specific paperwork for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. After getting our information he went back to get the key to the car. After a long period of waiting once again, he came back and told us the car was out being detailed. He could not offer us a specific date in which the car would be finished being detailed. This was very annoying as we had never been told by the online representative that the car was not at the dealership so we wasted an entire afternoon, but we were at least happy that we would hopefully be able to come back over the weekend as I assumed it would not take overly long to detail a car. We waited a few days for a call back, never got one. On Saturday morning, three days after we had visited the dealership, I looked online and saw the ad for the car had been taken off. I quickly called the dealership and this is when all the lying became apparent. Once on the phone with my salesperson he acted like he had thought we were looking at a different Jeep. This was totally a lie because I not only gave him the exact advertisement from their website with the car but he even brought out the correct paperwork. Then once it was established that I had wanted the Jeep Grand Cherokee, he told me that they did not actually have the car. It was still down in Texas. I asked why they would put it up on their website if they did not even have the car yet and he said it was to "generate interest." In some ways I look back at the experience and see it as possibly a form of a bait-and-switch. He did offer me another car, though it was a lower priced one and was no where close to what I wanted and he did not have the car to sell me. Whatever the case may be I would NEVER recommend this sleazy dealership to anyone. I know car dealerships are all sleazy and lie, but this one took it one step too far and did not seem to care about me as a customer. They just seemed more concerned about lying until they could get the car in and sell it. Pathetic.

Bought a car, called to schedu...

Bought a car, called to schedule service as per our sales agreement, and scheduled the service date for the following week. After driving the hour to get there and drop off the vehicle, I was informed service was very busy, and an aforementioned loaner car was not going to be available. Our salesman, and the service dept have been very pleasant and agreeable, although if I had my 'druthers, I'd prefer tolerable and effective. I give them the benefit of doubt because life happens and they've been cordial. Hopefully they have a contingency plan for next Tuesday and I can replace this review with a story of good business, and value. In regards to internet reviews, generally, I find that no news is good news. More importantly, that companies with the intent to increase sales have a habit of under-promising, and over-delivering. My other vehicle just rolled to 120k, and is due to trade-in. We'll see.

We drove 4 hours to purchase a vehicle. They didn't have our car cleaned up for us. The salesman was unprofessional by texting while he should have been providing customer service. The finance department tried to pressure us to buy an extended warranty. We didn't receive the paperwork we should have for our Nissan Certified vehicle or our Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. We will never go back to this dealership.
