my suburban had to towed back to shop 5 or 6 times after rebuilt , problem always blamed on torque converter. owner now says he thinks my computer is the problem. transmission started leaking again, I sold the truck to my son in-law he pulled the pan and it has a lot of metal in pan. this all happened in just over 1 year. I would never use Ronco transmission in Auburndale again, or recommend them to any one. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Absolutely the WORST choice for any auto repair period! Has had to rebuild my transmission 3 times in 14 months! I paid him extra at the beginning to put "heavy duty" parts and a "shift kit" so that the transmission would be better than stock. It broke down the first time within 3 months while going over the Howard Franklin bridge, I had to pay for the tow to his shop, and he charged me $295.00 blaming it on a mis-communication between the speedometer and the transmission... He still had to completely rebuild the transmission again at this time. The reverse went out within 4 months later. Again, he blamed it on my overdrive, charged me $338.00 and "fixed" the problem. Now here it is 7 months after the last time he worked on it and the transmission is completely broke! Of course, it's the customers fault, and, coincidentally my warranty was up at 12 months. Ronnie Hendrix, the owner and operator, does not run a business of integrity that stands behind their work. Save yourself the headache and trouble and just buy a new transmission. It's usually only $200-$300 more anyway.
