They changed my mother's medications without consent. Doubled one medication after she'd almost died, added other meds, overused antibiotics by not discontinuing until two contacts with Director of Nursing, and took a month! They added another medication she had an allergic reaction to, and I had to have her admitted back to Emergency Hospital.
She lost 21 lbs. in 15 days......was unable to feed herself, and they didn't feed or give her fluids to drink, she was unable to do it for herself. This is suppose to be a rehab, however, it was negligence and lack of care, with much harm from the meds. Hospital said she would have died in another day.......severely dehydrated(took 4 days to hydrate her). Brian Center still did not agree with sending her to emergency. Several healthcare professionals, from nurses, to dr. offices, drivers for ambulances have now told me this is not unusual........they have seen it often. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

I wholly and honestly feel this organization is truly a bad seed among rest homes. They've set up shop only just to take in the dollars. You can bet you or your loved ones will be mistreated in some form or fashion over and over again. WARNING!!! ADMIT AT YOUR OWN RISKS!!! When you discover this for yourself tell someone else; get the word out. So Just to be clear this is beyond unfair and it's plain ol wrong.

If you have a love one that cannot get up and go to the bathroom on their own and have to depend on the nurses to clean them up, this is DEFINITELY NOT the place for them. My mother has so many bed soars from this place. They would not give her pain medicine when she needed it before her physical therapy. This is not a place that TRULY cares for their patients when they need care the most.

PT & OT staff great. Bldg clean. No offensive smells in public areas. Grounds well kept. Some staff members are very caring, conscientious, trustworthy, thorough and helpful. Others aren't. Short-staffed. Can't seem to keep workers due lack of team work and workload associated with job. More CNAs, especially, and LPNs need to be hired and TRAINED to be effective and efficient in their positions. A no-nonsense, strong, pro-patient, effective, efficient administrator who will remain in place long enough to sustain a "legacy" of positive results needs to be in place who can genuinely LEAD and DIRECT and teach their staff to work as a TEAM. Meals delivered on time. Rooms extremely cramped & tight, too small for two patients. Invokes panic attacks and claustrophobia if one is prone to or has a history of such as my loved on does. Linen shortage every day. Why? Hallways noisey, especially at night when patients should be sleeping, their TVs turned down, activities ceased and staff respectable of the day's hour and those patients who are trying to sleep. Bldg too hot and cramped for the number of patients residing there. Breakfasts are redundant, boring.

Be very careful in bringing your live one to this facility I had my mom here in complained several times in everytime it was made out to think that we was the one with issues staff always had a excuse on why she didnt get her medications. I would not place my loved one here unless you plan on staying 24 hours with them

Be careful my daughter was in this facility during my visits I tracked 2 times they offered medication 2 hours before it was due ...risk of overdose....they signed out medication several hour prior to giving it so they did not know when it was taken...spilled medication and just gave what was left....retaliated when complaints were submitted.....the issues seem to be related to two RNs
