The Winnetka Public Works Department provides street, fleet, tree and sewer management, repairs and maintenance and infrastructure design services. The department has a work force of more than 35 full-time employees, including administrative staff to maintenance workers. It has administration, engineering, operations and forestry divisions. The Winnetka Public Works Department maintains more than 80 miles of roadways and sewer lines. The department serves approximately 3,500 homes and nearly 200 development plans.
