We sought Deborah's counsel for my oldest son, after my ex-wife and I were divorced. I found her to be disorganized, and wasteful of therapy session time. In one session, she asked my son a question and when he didn't answer we sat in silence for 10 minutes. Only when I suggested she continue the session with just my son, without his Mom and I present, did we move forward. In another session, she completely forgot the therapy strategy she suggested in a previous session. When I reminded her of it, she had no idea what I was talking about. She also cancelled our standing appointment with little notice saying she had booked an appointment with another patient. She did not have the skill or experience to effectively counsel my family. I think Deborah means well but her inexperience and lack of skill was obvious to me. I would not recommend using her and would suggest a more experienced and skilled family counselor.
