Operational for more than 25 years, Winchester Community Music School offers a variety of music education programs. The school s music programs are anchored in the classical music genre with an emphasis on jazz. In addition, the school maintains a fully developed early childhood music program based upon Dalcroze eurhythmics. It sustains classroom instruction to supplement students music education, including a fully developed sequence of music theory classes. It encourages ensemble participation in small classical and jazz ensembles, both vocal and instrumental, and provides multiple and varied performance opportunities as a critical element of music education. The school enrolls more than 850 students and has a faculty of over 60 professional musicians. It is located in Winchester, Mass.
