First,I want to say the actual quality of braiding is good, but the technique is not: a. Habibata braids too tight. I actually had to remove two of the braids because at the actual root of my hair, it was weeping blood. I had asked her to braids loose, but she braided it tight anyway. b. Everyone in the shop seems to think it's funny that your head is hurting when actually it is wrong if your scalp is hurting from braiding. They ask you "Does it hurt?"and then they start smiling and laughing. Braiding the hair too tight causes alopecia and/or bald spots. C. I also had micro braids with human hair which tend to slip out, especially around the front. I went back to the shop to get it fixed and I told her the braid slipped out. She told me that I had taken it out and that it didn't come out, basically calling me a liar. I have not been back because I refuse to pay $180.00 to have my hair braided too tight, or to be called a liar.

This is the best African Hair Braiding salon in the city. I have been extremely pleased with my braid styles and the care I have received from Habiba. The prices are very reasonable for the results and beautiful braids.
