We paid for 4lbs of crab legs and only received 2lbs when I questioned the staff they said well when you steam them they lose the weight. I was shocked and questioned how is it possible that there was physically 2lbs of water that steamed off in the cooking process? I imagine there would possibly be a difference but seriously I don't buy that excuse, it actually seemed like it was made up as we questioned it! We have gone here every New Year's Eve for the past several years and also get crabs here in the summer, but never again this was a rip off! After I advised the staff this they just pushed me out on my way saying sarcastically "Happy New Year"

Very disappointed. Wanted jumbo crabs and when I arrived to pick up my order I noticed that my jumbos were very small. It appears that these days, Captains Catch labels jumbos as a #1. I paid more for a dozen take out jumbos then I would have at a restaurant. $65 for a dozen of jumbo crabs, there were two of us and we're still hungry! I will never purchase seafood from this place again.

I would consider this store one of the best, if not the best in the Newark, DE area as it pertains to seafood. The price of the crabs can be a bit high, yet it's worth it. Their products are always fresh, timely and sumptuous---especially those crabs. They tend to go all year round, but I recommend calling before showing up, just to check their inventory and when ordering something cooked/steamed. Remember they are selling seafood. Do, Check them out sometime.

By far Captains Catch has the best seafood around. Their fish always looks and tastes so fresh and the selection is huge. Their blue claw crabs are also delicious! If you're looking for great seafood in the Newark/wilmington area they are the best in my opinion. Not to mention they have hundreds of different recipes for all types of fish that you can look through and take a copy home with you. The staff is always so knowledgeable.

I always get the freshest fish from Captains Catch. We also get are steamed crabs. They always are full of meat. Great mom and pop shop with good customer service. I highly recommned them.

I get both Crabs and fresh fish from Captains Catch. The crabs are always full of meat and cooked just right. All their fish is extremely fresh and they have a great selection. Not to mention the great customer service. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted.. All the staff is friendly and helpful! I like to try different fish and they will recommend recipes and give you copies of any recipe you like. It's nice to have places like Captains Catch still around. Not to mention I always like to support small business.

BEST Crabs and FRESH fish in Delaware. I've been a customer for over 10 years and won't go anywhere else. The also have fast, FRIENDLY customer service which is so hard to find these days.
