If getting work done on a quote and going over by 200 dollars...then the parts put on did not even come close to remedy the problem or from scuffing up brand new rims & center caps all in the same service and not to follow up to repair those issues to the customer and pay for is just the case and business apparently.

Mr Oakwood, You were quoted on parts for your 1970 Thunderbird, in which you also added additional vehicle repairs while it was being serviced. We never diagnosed your vehicle, you diagnosed it and we simply did requested repairs in which we had to pre-order parts prior to your appointment per your request. As for the rims and center caps, you were here at the time of service and we offered to have the rims repaired. You did not return for your scheduled appointment or return any calls left for you. If you would have returned for the scheduled appointment we would have been able to properly diagnose your vehicle and have your rims repaired.

Good garages are few and far b...

Good garages are few and far between so once I find one in my area I stick with them. I've used WSTA for 6 years now with two vehicles and I've been happy with every transaction. I love the family atmosphere in the office where you always have access to the people in charge of the operation. I'll support local families that take fishing vacations over corporate Pep Boy pigs any day!

I don't understand the negativ...

I don't understand the negative reviews. WSTA was referred to us by neighbors who had been going there for years. We were looking for a place that was reliable and trustworthy. In the 5 years that we have been going there with 6 different vehicles (we have 2 teenage drivers, as well), we have never been disappointed. Highly dependable work, sometimes on short notice. As a matter of fact, my oldest daughter was having car issues while my wife and I were out town. Skip was extremely helpful and took my daughter right in and had the car issue resolved for her. Skip and Sue are extremely helpful, as are the other family staff members. In my experience, Skip is a real talker, while Sue is more business. Both are fantastic people who I never trusted my vehicles more to. As for the dogs, this is a FAMILY business, and these are FAMILY pets who do not get in the way or appear in the least bit threatening. Maybe some people don't appreciate the FAMILY aspect of this business. That's fine, but we appreciate the cordial conservation every time we are in there, as well as the excellent work that has always been performed on our vehicles.

I have no idea how this garage...

I have no idea how this garage stays in business. It's not so much the uncomfortable wait time that you spend sitting in the main office, surrounded by dogs drooling on your feet, or the tedious wait you experience as the secretary blathers on about bass fishing to her friends while you stand in line for 15 minutes waiting to get your keys back, but the overall nightmare of an experience that comes from bringing your car to Willow Street Tire & Auto. Sure, you may get your car back repaired, for only a slightly higher price than any other garage in Lancaster, but the customer service is downright painful. The woman (I believe the owner's wife) is the most bitter, jaded person I've ever come across. Her garbage attitude makes you feel like you've inconvenienced her for bringing your car in! My wife and I hate each other because of this company...they have brought nothing but pain and misery to our lives.

horrible front office person

I read the review of the last person, and I actually don't know how they remain open. I heard the husband is a great mechanic, but his wife is a total whack job, very rude to cutomers. I wouldn't refer anyone there nor seek their business. He needs to can her.

Terrible business ethics, rotten customer service! Never again!!

Was a long-term customer and actually sent many people to this repair shop even though the office manager is a horrible person to deal with.



Last week, I took my car in for a repair to the windshield wipers and they actually broke my windshield. I called to let them know "we have a problem" and the office manager said I'd have to take my car to a glass place to have it fixed (brush off). The glass repair person was able to determine that the repair job to the windshield wipers was the cause of the windshield damage. I stopped by to show Willow Street Tire and Auto the damage. They said they'd get back to me, but never did. My husband called them and they basically said 'tough luck'. Now I'm paying $212 to fix the windshield after the original 'repair' was only $91. We will be filing a civil action on this matter. Who needs this hassle?

This is not the whole story. Repairs were done by the customer before bringing it to WSTA and damage could have been done during that time period. There was visual damage done when brought to the repair shop. Willow Street Tire & Auto has always stood by their work and if there would be any damage done during that process, WSTA would be responsible for it and repair whatever necessary at their own expense. A company does not stay in business for 30+ years with a bad work ethic.
