One star description, HATED IT describes our experience perfectly. We were referred to this lender and Michael Zuren was the agent we dealt with. Buying your first house can be frustrating, but we were left completely inconvenienced and misinformed. We started the process in mid-January and we're given many different closing dates from that point. We thought the process of signing papers and paying fees was the end of it all and we would be happy homeowners. That isn't the case with this situation. We sat down and signed a HUGE stack of papers at the title agency. The title agent was very helpful explaining to us how the mortgage plays out. There were two extra fees added on to our amount that we were never told about. We understand that the mortgage agent worked out our loan in favor of the company. There were a few different loan options for us but the agent did not explain them to us. Now a week later, we find out that Schmidt Mortgage typed up that whole stack of papers incorrectly. My husband has to take time off work again to meet with the title agent and re-sign. How does a lender put someone in a situation like this, losing out on work time, and money?
