I have been a resident at Pine Ridge for over two years. In that time I have had numerous issues with Maintenance not addressing issues I have called with and instead leaving notes implying I do not know how to operate basic small appliances and questioning my intelligence, I have had assigned parking spaces I pay for every month unassigned and given to other people with no notice, Maintenance leaving my door completely unlocked after they leave my apartment from a service call for hours at a time, requested to be added to the call list for remote entry numerous times and still after two years am not listed, and received threatening collection notices for utility bills clearly marked for someone not on my lease "hand delivered" (chucked under the door and left for me to find by slipping on after I come home from a disturbingly troubling day at work) to my apartment.

I like my apartment, but everything about the community and management is an utter disappointment and at this point beginning to border on unlivable. I pay a not insubstantial amount of rent for a home with expectations that are nowhere near being met. I highly recommend anyone look elsewhere for a home.

Nothing gets fixed around unle...

Nothing gets fixed around unless you complain. We had cockroaches that were coming in from the apartment next door. My husband went in to complain because two months after they knew about it we still had them. The lady in the resident services office copped an attitude with him and to this day if we go over there to report something that needs fixed she is nasty to us. We recently called someone to fix an appliance on a saturday. He did nothing but it started working again. Five minutes after he left we tried it and had to call him again because it had quit working again. He tried it and it worked. Obviously there is a problem with it. He said "Come on. You've got to be kidding. I'm too busy for this." Our shower head runs when we try to run water in the tub. They already "fixed it" once. Our calking in our tub/shower is gone. They "fixed" that once too. It lasted a week. We reported a crack and large bump in our bathroom ceiling from a leak above us. Never fixed. Our kitchen sink regularly fills up with someone elses dirty, greasy, very soapy dishwater from up above somewhere. There are "rules" about the patios and what can be on them. (The lease, we discovered, is open-ended about patios. Basically it says if we don't like it it has to go, but no specifics so they can make up the rules as they go along.) We were told that we had to remove the birdfeeder we had had out there for more than a year, that it was a lease violation. However, there are lots of units with birdfeeders, bikes, kid's toys, grills...ect. Some of which are blatant violations of the rules. There are dogs living in this building. No dogs are ALLOWED in this building. I"ve been told that they know they are here. We had a previous next door neighbor who would leave their garbage on the patio for days at a time. It took more than three weeks to have it removed. And that was only because the tentant moved. There was a tentant upstairs in our building who complained because the tenant next door left their garbage out in the hallway for a day or more. Nothing was done. It ended up in an argument between the two tenants and the police had to sort it out. The police are here all the time for one reason or another. The place has a lovely resident lounge. If you are caught lounging there you will be asked to leave. Same with the lovely building lobbies. The gym? Cramped, smelling and not enough equipment, except for stair climbers. Four trendmills. Two are usually not working. Two recumbant bikes. One is usually not working. Security because it's a gated community? Hahahaha! They are a bunch of Barney Fifes. They hardly stop anyone. All you have to do is wave at them and they let you through.

Oh, and the rent went up $40 a month after the first year. We could rent a three bedroom house for $50 a month more than we pay here.

Don't do it. Drive right on by. You're better off at the tower buildings over in Willowick and Euclid. The neighborhoods may be a bit dicier but the apartments are of the same quality AND $200 a month cheaper!
