The center provides annual shots for my dogs with no office visit charge, cash only. Saves us $100 or so a year.

Secondary consultation call last week with Dr. Madarsky concerning my sick yellow lab was informative, professional, and well worth my time. He left me with his personal cell phone # before we hung up.

BEWARE.... This practice is the same owners as Stafford Vet and they doent care about the wellbeing of your animals. All they care about is the money. Its very sad they are still in business! The owners are very rude to their clients and staff. It's a horrible operation they run there and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!
Complaint Against Dr. David Mordasky

It NEVER ends... Dr. David Mordasky - Veterinary Center - Stafford CT. Dog gets hit by car...owners friend calls the couple's family vet (Dr. Mordasky) to tell them they are on their way bringing in their injured, dying 8 month old dog "Major". Friend was grilled about payment. Because she didn't know whether the couple was paying by check, cash or credit card and started to get upset the vet clinic hung up on her. These people had the funds to pay.

Don't ever think this can't happen to you. R.I.P. Major...your story will not be forgotten. Dr. David Mordasky- Active Owner for Stafford and Willington Veterinary Centers

I have really liked the Dr.s and techs. However I am leaving the practice because I have found the office staff rude and disorganized - causing my dog to needlessly suffer from an excruciatingly uncomfortable skin condition. I waited for a week and 3 attempts from 1800petmeds for a prescription (that was to be shipped overnight) to be approved. When I called to inquire about the approval, sometimes the staff could find the request, other times not. Never did a person who said that they'd return my call do so. Once a person answering the phone said that I needed to pay a fee for a non paper prescription - when I said I hadn't heard that before, I was told it was the policy for the past 5 years and was hung up on.

My dog needed a surgery that my larger vet hospital wanted $3000 for!. The vet here did it for half that, and my dog lived and is doing so well. I will never go back to my old vet. Willington vets prices are the best, they work with you because they are a small family run business. I am letting all my friends know. and my dog loves all th staff as much as I do.

Love Willington vet

I have worked for this clinic for 4 years and can tell you that the client who was unhappy has yelled at me several times... she is rude to everyone. I am so thankful that the office manager stood up to her and asked her to stop telling at us! I love the vets the managers and all my co-workers.

The vets have been terrific. I've known Dr. Mordasky for 14 years, and Dr. Furphy for the past 8 months, but I just found out she has left the practice--hopefully, to move on to an office staff she deserves. I give the two vets 5 stars.

But I give the office staff--especially and specifically the office manager, whom I met only once, thank goodness--one star. In all my years of taking my cats and dogs to vets across the country, I have never encountered a more disorganized, often rude, office staff. Our previous vet, Dr. Love, had passed away, and so last year we decided to try Willington Vet, in part because of convenience.

Things were strange from the very beginning: lots of telephone tag, having to drop by a number of times to TRY (notice the emphasis) to pick up a prescription or a special diet food only to find the vet practice closed, lots of promises to let us know when our order had arrived but no follow-through, to the point where we seriously thought about changing vets to spare ourselves the wasted time, frustration and yes, sometimes plain anger. Yet, we hung on because we liked Drs Mordasky and Furphy.

An incident this week was the last straw--we kept hoping things would improve, but they got worse, actually. Customers, who pay dearly for services, deserve so much better, as do the vets. It seems quite clear that the root of the problem lies with the office manager, but that affects the entire staff, of course.

I can only conclude with a warning: If you still decide to give this vet practice your patronage, good luck because you'll need it. Better yet would be to spare yourself the pain and frustration. There are many good vets with good staffs out there--sometimes it just takes time to find them.
