I came to Dr. F in college complaining of a sore tooth. He told me I had cracked my tooth "above the gum line" and would need to have it removed!! He told me that he wanted to put in a special implant, not covered by insurance. His implant patents hung on the walls in his office. I was absolutely terrified but he told me "not to be scared" and sent me home with a DVD promoting the procedure.

Cut to two weeks later when I got a second opinion. The second dentist took a boatload of x-rays and did a number of tests on the tooth and found NOTHING WRONG. Dr. Flanagan would have removed my healthy FRONT TOOTH for no reason except his own motivations. Had I been older when this happened I would have filed a lawsuit against him for undue emotional trauma and unethical practice.

Do not go here if you value your health. That was almost ten years ago and my front tooth is still healthy as ever. Turns out I just grind my teeth and needed a guard.

I went in today because I had a filling that came loose. I got an x-ray, and without even looking at the x-ray, the doctor came into the room, looked at my mouth, and immediately said, "You need a root canal" and gave me a shot so hard and with no prep. He then said that my tooth was fractured, but later when I questioned the pricing of the root canal, I was told that my tooth wasn't cracked but the reason I needed a root canal was the level of decay on the tooth.

The insurance rep told me that my current plan would cover the root canal, post and core, and crown. When I asked if I could call and verify that with the insurance company before okay-ing the procedure, everyone got really frustrated with me. They ended up doing a temporary filling and scheduling me for a later date. I later found out from my insurance company that no one inquired about my policy specifically, and that I was lied to in the office. Five hours later, my gums are bleeding, my face is swollen on the right side, my entire head is still completely numb, and I'm going back to get my records but not to get dental work done. I'm really not comfortable getting work done here after getting lied to about what was wrong originally, the prices, and the attitude I got when I questioned the procedure.

This dentist scared the life right out of me just before Christmas. He came into the room, introduced himself, looked at my x-rays then grabbed my face, jammed the needle into my jaw so hard it hurt for a week. Then when I started screaming he told me to shut up, not to scare the kids in the waiting room! I walked out. NOW HE HAS THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME FOR THIS BRUTAL BEHAVIOR!!! I'm thinking of suing him for intentional infliction of emotional harm, I guess he forgot to read what I wrote about the abusive dentist I had as a child!!!

Windham Dental Group is a great practice. The front staff is very personable and enthusiastic. The doctors and hygienist are great, they take the time to describe your treatment!! Highly recommended
