Reiki therapy uses gentle touch to improve the flow of life energy. A person remains fully clothed. Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means "universal life energy" in Japanese. I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and also a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher. I have been trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Reiki therapy is provided to relieve stress and pain, and to improve the symptoms of various health conditions. Reiki stimulates the immune system, detoxifies the physical body through improved bowel function, and increases energy. I have had success in helping clients with acute and chronic illnesses, from chronic pain to recovery from traumatic life experiences. Reiki is a gentle and safe technique, and I have provided reiki successfully in my anesthesia practice. It has been found to be very calming and reassuring for those suffering from severe or end of life conditions. I offer Reiki to allow for a deeper caring in my anesthesia practice, and I gladly offer Reiki at my healing practice to join with all of your chosen methods of wellness. Be well.
