Dr. Anthony Polit is a lifetime resident of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, and is a graduate of Wyoming Area High School. He earned both his undergraduate degree in 1992 and his doctorate in 1996 from the University of Pittsburgh. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Polit completed a General Practice Residency Program at the VA Medical Center in Wilkes- Barre. He has been in practice since 1997 in the greater Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. He is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and is currently being boarded by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Polit has studied with Dr. Barry Glassman, Allentown, PA, who teaches internationally on chronic facial pain and sleep disorders. Dr. Polit has been focusing and increasing the emphasis of his practice on treatment of trigeminally mediated pain and sleep disorders. Our office in Wilkes- Barre is a stand-alone Center offering services to patients with sleep disordered breathing, TMJ disorders, orofacial pain and headaches, including an FDA-cleared protocol for migraine prevention.
