Don't waste your insurance money or taxpaying dollars on this place not Christian institution false advertisement physician rude secretaries arrogant sarcastic dirty unclean would not recommend

This is not my first time coming to wesley and experiencing either the nurses or doctors being so rude. I came to wesley when i was 36 weeks pregnant due to low severe back pain and leg pain, i did not think i was in labor but i had tried all types of medicines under the counter and nothing worked so i came to wesley to see if something was wrong with my leg because i was limping when i walked because it hurt so bad. I had dr. Nelson and let me tell you how rude and arogant she was. She made me cry and feel embarrassed to my husband as i was leaving because how rude and mistreated i felt. She came in the room with a attitude putting on her gloves and said " you came all the way to the er because your in that much pain, just looked at my leg and told she will she give me one icy hot patch to put in my lower back and send me home that this was not a reason to come to the er and to wait untill my contractions are 2 to 3 mins apart before i came back, and she was also smiling and winking at the nurse when she looked at my leg as if she was making fun of me. I dont know how she became a doctor and wanted to help people with an attitude like that and so rude and did not care about helping me or about my feelings, i came to the er crying because i was hurting so bad and she seen that and did not care about me at all. I ended up having my baby at st joseph hospital when all through my pregnancy i planned having my baby at wesley and even was going to the wesley womens care for my pre natal care, but with my experience at wesley my husband and me agreed we would not be treated that way and had our daughter at st joseph, that hospital treated us so much better and took such good care of me. Ill never go to wesley again, my husband also was treated bad the last time he went when a friend was in the hospital.

This was my first exposure to the ER. It was scary to have stomach pain that increasingly got worse. A coworker took me to the nearest ER, and it happened to be Wesley. I answered questions, explaining the problem to the nurse, said the pain was at a 6. The doctor thumped on my stomach a few times and I waited, trying to stay calm, then they took me for some kind of scan and gave them a sample of urine. The doctor said everything was fine but I was constipated. I went home. I received a 13 thousand dollar bill. I'm really concerned and confused as to what I was charged, why the scan was necessary and I wasn't shown any x-rays or scan results. I was incredibly embarrassed after his explanation had to be clarified by the nurse because of the doctor jargon he used. I felt incredibly uncomfortable physically due the pain and the communication of service I received. I am petrified of returning to the ER and will absolutely avoid Wesley.

Except for the morning of Sep. 4th, I'd tell you the name of the nurses but not only were they the only ones who didn't write their name on the board, they always had their badges covered with something. My wife has had many stays at Wesley Medical Center, but this is the fisrt that was not with the outstanding care we have come to expect. The nurse who came on duty at 7 September 3rd was rude, arrogant, and I felt miss treated my wife. When rolling her to her side him and another male nurse did not take care in being gentle, in fact quite the opposite, I'm aware my wife is a larger person but that doesn't mean you can try to push and toss them around without causing more discomfort then her infection was already causing her. After roughly rolling her from one side to the other her port stopped working, he went and got another nurse who pulled her needle out waved around in the air and then tried to stick back in her port, not once but three times. Finally they decided they'd have to get a new needle, the one they got was not the correct one, I only hope nothing happens between now 2am and when the day shift comes on at 7am. Ray Butterfield.

My experience with Wesley Hospital, Wichita, Ks has been very difficult due mainly to the fact my wishes as POA of a stroke patient (who can't speak)

were pretty much ignored. The hospital doctors, were pushing to have the patient put on "comfort care". I know him very well as I was his caregiver since his first stroke in Dec. 2000. He went to the hospital from a nursing home due to low oxygen level. (congestive heart failure) An x-ray showed fluid on his lungs which was removed. The following x-ray, I was told, showed the lungs clear but they wouldn't

release him since he does not swallow well (from his earlier strokes). They put a feeding tube in through the nose,( didn't ask permission). Then they wanted to put a peg tube into the stomach and put him on Comfort Care before sending him back to the nursing home. I refused. I asked for a ENT Consult. and the hospital doctor

refused. Whenever she did contact someone for me there were misleading statements made in order to back up her wishes, not the patients. I asked for a different doctor, preferably a MD instead of a DO, and that didn't happen either.

Was there in ICU they are a very caring hospital who give you prompt caring care.
